Re: Abula kommer
Sounds interesting. I would certainly come by and meet up if its in Jylland. If Copenhagen turns out to be the best spot there will need to be a a few more coming along before I'm in. But I'm not sure my small room is big enough for accommodation. Let's hope we can awaken the danes and make this hap...

I think moposite is hosted on a rather restrictive server, meaning basically only http and ftp ports are open, i know that abula have had enough trouble just having minor things changed in the apache setup. Besides, doesn't it need some sort of graphic window-ing system to work? I doubt many linux-b...

I made a new version (1.1) that shows some global statistics, i made the same as used on wcup, sorting points by invidual user, team and nationality. I included both the wcup type of points, the first x gets y[x] points, and the battle statistics, where last place always gets 1 point and first place...

Though i had edited out all the www.vk0.dk stuff the massive amounts of errors because i didn't really check it through for minor errors. I think it will work if you just add error_reporting(E_ALL ^ E_NOTICE); Just after the <?php line in weekbattle.php. from the error reports it looked like that th...

It sounds like you are trying to use the script alone on a computer. This is made to be run on a webserver connected to the internet. So everyone can register and submit times. If you run it alone on a personal workstation, you have to setup a mysql and http server and register all users yourself, a...

new more easily implementable script
I've worked abit more on the weekbattle script i made some time ago. It can be quite easily installed and integrated into an existing website, it allows easy handling of lev uploading, setting up battles, uploding .recs to submit times. Right now it doesn't include any way to make some combined stat...

it is indeed a good idea. I think i changed it, my server stopped working just as i was about the upload the last change. automated week-long battles script
I've added this to http://www.vk0.dk/elmadk . You just download the lev, make a run, login/register&login and upload the rec. it allows users to upload levs which will then be played when it's its turn, which will happen automatically if you upload a file ending in .lev. Users can also rate the ...

Okay, i've set up a cup generation script. I think the version i had of the script is old or something, it had alot of weird errors. I've set it up again.
Can't think of much more ways to secure it.
And when whoever defaces it again please try to simply _add_ some deface message instead of completely overwriting the files.
And please don't leave the link visible on some public website or other media.

a defacement is quite harmless ... if you make a backup of the file you are overwriting (he didn't), if you don't go about defacing other parts of the server which aren't related to the vulnerable script, he did. And if you don't install 5 different scripts ranging from shell servers to irc clients....

You should upload the pack to www.vk0.dk/elmadk
that way, it can have an interactive updated recordlist and even make the levs downloadable!
There's nothing more annoying than a broken link/protected host.
