Re: The Quitting Topic !
Not that anyone cares, but I haven't touched elma in a couple of months, and I have no real desire to start back up again. I think 10 years of playing this silly motorcycle game might be enough. Bye!

Re: elma online testing guidelines and bug reports
A weird, obscure bug: if you're typing in the chat while watching recs with "Randomizer", your chat gets cut off when one rec ends and the next one begins. It doesn't happen if you're watching a single rec.

Re: Elma Online site: Plans, Ideas, Changes
There could also be a "participate" button. Before you press it, you're not in the battle, only in the level. Would be cool... everyone could play the level from the beginning and decide at the end whether to press teh button according to his time. Not to say it's a good idea (it isn't), ...

Obviously, if this were implemented, the time would always count if the player actually finished.

Re: Elma Online site: Plans, Ideas, Changes
It's probably not worth the bother, but I suppose it could be fixed by special casing battle winning recs until they've been uploaded to the server. If a better time is driven in the interim you would have to save it with some sort of temporary name, and only overwrite the winning rec after it's bee...

Re: Elma Online site: Plans, Ideas, Changes
For this battle , Kuper improved his own winning time at almost exactly the same moment the battle ended. His winning time for the battle is 15.65, but the rec is his 15.50 run. Note that it says "00:15,65 (watch online)", and the replay you get is the 15.50 one. It's not a huge deal if th...

Re: Your first memory of Mopolauta?
I remember posting a thread suggesting that the moving killers and apples from Across 1.0 should be added to Elma. Then psym0rph posted a friendly reply explaining why it was a bad idea, and I was like omg since he was the ultimate Elma idol of my retarded 13 year old self. The post probably doesn't...

Hmm. I'd say timing and quick thinking are two very important skills when it comes to pipe driving (the ability to plan ahead would have been also if all pipe levels were decided on the first run). Another thing I'd like to say is the most important skill when getting a good time on a pipe level is...

I'm going to be as pretentious as I can here. I like to look at it this way (my apologies if I'm inadvertantly reiterating already asserted viewpoints). Regular Elma levels (or good Elma levels, at least) necessitate a wide variety of skills, including timing, the ability to find the best possible r...

i don't think there is a good fix for this problem, or if i really even want one. atleast i don't want to be in stats for every single battle level i download. because i do download a lot that i only just open for a minute and then discard. plus i don't see how this could really work in any way on ...

I've never seen so much image leeching in one place. It doesn't matter too much on a low-traffic board like this one, but still. Edit: Also, tabl...

but after that, it is not that similar. it's only a ripoff on the surface. of course it looks lame, but it doesnt really matter because the content is what matters. the humour is different. family guy is a lot more bizarre, and more limited to grown-up jokes. simpson have jokes on many more levels,...

yes it isn't. Yes it is. how many episodes have you seen? All of them except some of the newest ones. can you explain how it is a ripoff? Because every Family Guy plot feels a slightly modified Simpsons plot. Because Peter is just like Homer only less likeable, Lois is just like Marge only even mor...

Family Guy is a weak Simpsons ripoff with obvious jokes, shitty gimmicks (such as the invariably unfunny flashbacks), terrible one-note characters and an annoyingly cocky overall style. Brian and Stewie are the only saving graces. The Simpsons used to be great, but now it's been bad for so long now ...
