Well, you have to prioritise difficulty or speed. At first you can safely give priority to difficulty, skipping harder levels over longer ones. Dying 2 times on Animal Farm or Headbanger is still worse than doing single but effective slow runs on Zig Zag or New Wave. That'd be my choice as a nab. Bu...

Can all this stuff be integrated into EOL?
For the very reason of chat and verification.
I'm not sure how it'd work, and I know nothing about EOL's API or framework.
But you'd choose Any%, Demo% or 100%, and then you'd begin with locked levs.

That way we also make sure no glitches fuck up the consistency, a la Zelda Ocarina of Time Any% which is just an unfunny ultra-optimized glitchfest.

You can use in-game skips, unless you going for 100%. And you must play levels in order from a fresh start, obv.
If Any%, which is best mode, use the last skip for apple harvest.
Timer stops the moment you begin 55. Timer starts the moment you begin 1.

I always pictured elma as this haven for obsessive compulsive fellas like me.
It is the modern tetris, because you can't ever really "win" a level.
And every single mistake is apparent and evident as it can be.
It'll never be perfect.
It is hell.
That's why it is addictive,

isn't that basically modding the way elma always worked? It is also true that we shouldn't compare to console/handheld games, that aren't either moddable nor patchable by official means. Okay. Then, as I said, I can't find any problem with having total freedom inside the "internal levels" menu (never leaving it but to play the int levels). Switching to a level you skipped earlier is as much a strat as in any other game where you can pick levels.FinMan wrote:This:

But you dont actually save and load in elma, you just continue from where you were left. Finishing a level is a checkpoint anyway, and I would NOT count checkpoints as save states in any game. As far as I knew, THC could only be diluted in lipids (so no water, and only a fraction on milk for example), but for whatever reason this friend of mine is able to dilute it in different kind of liquors.
So any of those liquors, or rum, or gin+tonic.
