Re: Anyone good at sudoku here?
Wait, so you guys take notes? Did knock and SveinR also use them for the evil puzzle? I thought it's considered kinda lame since the process becomes a lot more mechanical and less about using your head well (and also Hikaru Nakamura said that it's for losers or something :D). Or is it the standard a...

Anyone good at sudoku here?
I just want to ask about this site: https://www.websudoku.com/ I've been solving here for a while. I always succeed at easy and medium puzzles and usually succeed at hard ones when I have the patience to analyze everything carefully, but I'm completely stumped by all evil puzzles. I enter like 10-15...

Re: Happy New Decade From the Future!
Usually 1990-1999, but I thought that's technically incorrect?
At least one problem with counting this way is that it means the first decade consisted of only 9 years since there was no AD 0. Seems pretty weird to have an incomplete decade.

Is there a term for "false decade" then? I know that technically you're right, but I still want to have some way to refer to 2020-2029 instead of 2021-2030, as the first feels aesthetically neater.

2020: The year of gravity battles
So 2020 is upon us and, as you probably haven't noticed, it is going to be the only year in our lives that consists of the same internal repeated twice. With that internal being Upside Down, it's only fair that we dedicate 2020 to gravity levels, a much overlooked Elma genre. If you've never made a ...

What I think about on New Year's Eve
Let's say an angel descends from Heaven and explains that killers accidentally prevented the apocalypse because if a certain number of people wasn't killed by January 1, 2020, the universe would explode. Do we release all convicted killers for saving the world or do we keep them in prisons because k...

Good thinking by jon! Especially the part with amputated arm and leg. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe we actually never see two arms or two legs on the screen? So this diagram explains a lot.

Well, the internet feels... less real? It's a bit like how you aren't allowed to kill IRL but in many MMORPGs player killing is considered okay. I believe that Luther and jon didn't mean anything bad when they used these words (as Orcc said, sometimes you say one thing but mean another), but if it made other people uncomfortable then perhaps it's better for them to stop. If we are a "tight knit group of people that consider every kuski ...

Yea, I've noticed this is a big problem when you decide to quit some game but still stay in touch with the community. People remind you about old commitments or invite to new projects, and also just seeing them talk about the game tempts you to pick it up again. Pretty dangerous stuff.

Well, in popular games you can find many players of your level no matter how unforgiving these games are. In Elma you can't choose a room for noobs that you actually have a chance of beating. You're always near the bottom of the table and that's hard to handle psychologically. You could say "no...

I think Elma needs an HD remake with fancy graphics, achievements, dubstep music and shit.
