John said everything i was going to say here :P Of course it depends what do you like to use.

But, in twin peaks start i just press once brake: a bit before the wheel touches ground: because you get abit more spinning with brake in air --> more speed and you get better backswing for head --> you get more easily trough the hole. And, that saves time because if you press space more later, more gas on startpoly (--> more spinning speed), keep gas on and then brake before the ground, you can get the lost spinning speed back.

Ontopic: That is why dont you need much brake in tp start. Just click once and thats it. Faster and more for lazy players like me.

Havn't played it for a long time, but I think I do like finman as well - press break once whilst spinning, some time before I hit the ground.

But still, what the hell has this to do with keyboards anyway? Let's drop this off-topic style discussion.

Anyways on topic: my keyboard is dying, Ctrl and Shift keys rarely work nowadays, up to the point where i'm thinking of getting new keyb/moving Alo.

have to smash the keys to get them to work :\

Zweq wrote:after I broke the best elma keyb I found another one on top of a shelf, had got it from some old 286, so I was guessing it would work good with 3-5 keypresses and it sure did, using åöä' for movement and well space was broken so had to use b for turning and unfortunately it broke also, so atm n is for turning. This keyb though cant handle gas brake left enter, so it isn't quite as good as the old one but qualifies for serious elmaplaying fo sho, it's called MITSUMI ;D
my MITSUMI became very irresponsive lately, I had to press the buttons very hard. So, I tried to fix but it didn't get any better. I mean random internal cruising, throttle just might go on/off suddenly.

any good keyboards that allow 5 simultaneous button presses?

over the last few months my keyboard has gotten progressively worse from the stage Zweq is describing now (when keyboard was new it occasionally cut out the throttle). the left shift and ctrl keys don't work, the n key works but you need to push it very hard, and the arrow keys and right ctrl key seem relatively unresponsive, i need a new keyboard :\

Wtf are you doing with your keyboards? Usually my keyboards live for years and years without problem... I had one that fucked up two weeks after my father accidentally spilled a whole glass of Pepsi in it, but that's all.

Well thank you^^

Bjorn showed me a site today where they sold Logitech Internet 350 Keyboards for only 29 kronor. It's the same keyboard I have at home and it's really nice for Elma imo, so if any swede or possibly other scandinavian are interested in getting one...

WTF? There is no feeling in ultraflat keyboards, because the keys hardly depresses at all when you press them. Ultra shit.

Microsoft Internet Keyboard

This one is very max. I've got two of these. It allows me to hold down all the seven buttons I use for elma (including Enter) + one extra button. Also the buttons feel pretty nice for me, they are big but easily moved.

EDIT: I should mention that it's 3x Multi-WR -keyboard too!

But about my Elma controls: I seem to use nearly exactly the same buttons as berhardbul! Yay! Only I use E and W for what he uses for TAB and Q.

same keyboard, except the next model. exact same keyset except smaller space down the bottom and a little media/link area up the top.

just bought a new keyboard because my old would not even let me hit three keys simultaneously :/ this new one is very nice ultra slim, low buttons, quiet when you press buttons and can hit at least 6 buttons at the same time (which is what i have tested so far). lots of programable keys as well i got belma, stats.txt and battle start all at programmed as well as winamp, gmail, lauta and many more :) its the microsoft digital media keyboard 3000 and cost me 40$ which is quite cheap for such good quality. it is corded via usb as well, didnt want wireless. some other cool features is lets say you have the 5 favorites buttons programed and you open firefox, you can have those same buttons have different programmed function when firefox is open... has start/stop/next track/mute/volume controls as well as a handy calculator key. if i had vista there is zoom buttons as well as a flip 3d button.

Oh, 40€ at amazon. It's quite much for me as a student;) Is there maybe a cheaper one? Needn't to be that high-quality, the only crucial thing is the simultaneous-key-factor.
