We could make it harder to create new accounts, payment, ask mod for rights on lauta/irc, whatever, but I'm 100% sure anything like that would costs us new players because they can't be bothered then. Or me and mila could waste all our time making stuff more secure and not having half the features we have now. I don't really know what a good solution is.

While it is true that berh points out some of the security holes EOL has, it is not acceptable. I don't even know if anyone is fixing any of the exploits he's using and that makes it even worse. However, berh itself is not the real problem, EOL is.
