Angles and resolution (mind blown)

Post by kuchitsu »

I'm used to playing in 1280x960 for some reason. And I just realized that for most people my levs probably look uglier than for me. For example, if I want to see a tilted rectangle in my level I actually have to draw this in SLE, which isn't rectangular as you can see but becomes rectangular with my resolution. But that also means that most people won't see a rectangle I guess? So what should I do? Change to some other more popular resolution so that I could see the same thing as most players? Which one then?

I'm kinda confused now to be honest. If some resolutions have a normal rectangle and other don't, why do they even play the same... Well, I guess the bike is stretched too somehow but still this feels weird lol.

Are you saying you are using a 4:3 resolution on a wide screen 16:9 monitor and stretching the image to fit the screen? That's a really bad idea.
< roopemies> horror and frustrating and can't play, sounds just like you

Hmm I guess so. I just kept trying different resolutions until I found one that felt comfortable...

IIRC Rast was also playing on a stretched resolution.

And yeah, the mopo would be stretched too. It might be hard to see after playing like that for years.
then again i don't know anything

BTW, you know you can just type your native reso in eolconf? It doesn't have to be in the dropdown.
