i think magnus' suggestion of window elma is very nice indeed, would be alot easier, but could look n00bier i guess.

another good suggestion is being able to watch certain replays for a certain level. for instance, if i were playing warmup, in the warm up menu there could be "watch replays" or something where all the recs for warm up can be found. and the recs should automatically be at the right place once it has been saved, which surely would be possible.

John's suggestion about automatic replay saves for best times is a good idea, but some may want to compare their old best time with their new best time, therefore it should be atleast optional.

.....yes, a better is much needed, but don't make it look like that advanced editor crap. the simpler it is, the better.

having online tag would be cool, if there can be more than 2 kuskis involved (in a big level of course). another fun online idea could be like "tiggy" and the more kuskis u hit the better (in a set time).

i think new pictures are needed, and u could be able to rotate them. some very nice textures would be good, including different background pictures which symbolize different time or day, such as night. oh hey, maybe even have rain levels :D ez less grip etc, but should only be for external use.

ahha just thought of something that could be included, but not fully. maybe have the kuski without his bike. he would run, do flips etc, would be funny and fun when bored.

that is all for now i guess ;)

I think it would be cool of you could upload moposite record section in your elma game, and if you make new best time elma tells you what your new level and tt ranking is.

Two separate breaks for front and back wheel. That plus 54 new internals plus some better editor and slightly different look would do a good elma 2.0 for me.

that could be interesting0r two different brakes and also it could be not hard to code for balazs, would be just interesting to see how it would affect the physics

Thinking more of it, I would like bigger changes than just new internals better editor and menu and stuff. Also _some_ changes in the gameplay so you kinda have to learn the game again, like when you first started played elma, but ofcourse you should still have some advantages if you have been playing elma for a long time, in someway.

You can't set those time limits. If they are hard now they will be pretty easy after 6 months and after 1 year everybody can make them. Like Warm Up 16 secs.

1 vs 1 where the players start at different spots, though the spots are at same place but mirrored from each other. Then the players compete who reaches the flower (which is exactly in the middle of starting positions). One player comes from left and the other from right but after each race they change sides. Alovolt is disabled for both. Crap idea.... ;/

Alovolt should be allowed for both in your mode john, and the kuskis switches side e<ach time and get to use it defferently.

I think I'd like a more advanced editor with plenty of nice features and better menus so it's easier to find a certain level/replay (maybe organized in folders)

yeye the topic says one feature but since i wrote all this shit under the wrong topic already ill just copy paste...

i want the following(first is what i want the most etc.):

- Keep the game simple, enchanting graphs is ok, but making elma 3d is the most ridiculous shit ive ever heard, dig your own grave yeah
- Exactly same physics and elasticity as in elma 1
- Tons of statistics, how many deaths, how many attempts on a level, avg playing time per day, etc, just tons of them pls and ill be happy
- New simple levs made by balazs NO ONE OTHER, definetly NO speed hoyl levels

those are the most important I think, but also there could be things like(depends on the money and time resources balazs has):

- Somekind of online mode, dont ask me how
- Some connection from elma to #battle, dont have to alt + tab you know

when i come up with more ideas ill edit

i posted allready but:
- diffrent start positions for player A and B
- more than 2 bikes
- a cool online batlle mode like this: two (or more) drivers starting a lev at the same time. Both of them has at the beginning f.e. 3 lifes. everytime you touch your enemies head with one of your wheels, he will lose a life. I got the idea by plaing super mario cart
- No masks. You can "paint" the textures on. Just like in paint.
- for lan mode: a lil window in the upper cornor where you can see whats your enemy is doing. Can be toggled of.
- No more 8 char limit
- Have the possibility to rotate pictures and/or grass so you can make some cool effects when you use grav aplles (only if therell be gravs)
- stand up/squat down function. like in milagros fun2. but not so extremly and not the whole time. only 1-3 secs a run.
- more typesets. like Ä,Ö,Ü,ß,â...
-no limit of the lev size (OMG)
- diffrent brakes for front- and backwheel
(if i count right, are these more then 1 feature)
ill edit this post if i imagine some more things

.........In the menu, there would be an option, which got you the ability to play online, directly from ElastoMania, then you could join a server, o host a level for ex. Mopobattles........Something like that, you know what i mean!

I think there should be some checkpoint thingy. Like that you could choose some target times or import them from a replay, and after the race you could compare your time and the targets and see what part of the lev went wrong... :?

well, that would be fun, but not very hard to do yourself, (just put timer on and compare) and then it is the problem with different styles, or levels with paralell ways and same styles :/

I think teh ghost feature would level teh differences between teh profis and teh n00bies very quickly ... It'd be too easy then, imo.

However, Dynamo's idea is reallly nice.
