I think it's time guys, Chain Pipe mega level project is back! And I want to hear about your feedbacks to make it the most enjoyable as possible.

What will be different in this one:
First off, and sorry if you wanted an even longer level than both previous ones, I would like to reduce the lenght of the level so I don't have to remove so much nice stuff.
New designers to contribute to the project. I will ask for suggestions.
Order of designers will be predetermined unlike previous where all parts were just put where it fits in the level.
Designers won't get spoiled by seeing the level early.

What will stay the same:
I will mawanize the whole level to keep consistency in the overall level.
- I will make all grass [EDIT]: People can make their grass if they want, if not, I will, unless requested.
- I will make clean curves with consistent angles and edges lengths;
- I will remove useless vertices and keep it minimalisic because of the vertices limit;
- I will try to keep as much as possible the idea from the designer intended the playability;
- I will make or use logo/name of the designer

Chain process:
In order not to show the designers what has been done on the level so far, I will keep last part of the previous designer and show what parts they cannot work into and let them have freedom on the size of their part.
I will make the first part, then hide stuff I will give to 2nd designer. He will send it back to me, I will hide stuff and send to the next one, everything in private.
I will rename file name for everybody with something illogical so nobody else sees other parts.
[EDIT]: Your part must be made under the ground, a lot of people were confused if had to build in sky or ground.

Designers rules:
[EDIT]~2½ min to finish their part
Must consider space for many designers, so no large empty spots, [EDIT]:but still not ultra tight
[EDIT]You can add your own visuals (polygons, pictures, etc), but not in next designers space. In case of a need of vertices, I will remove those if necessary.
All tricks should be doable 1st try, so no tight pipes unless there's a good reason
You have maximum 1 week to make your part, but please dont stretch unnecessary if u can do in 1-2 days.
NEW: Be innovative, not just left, right, left, right, etc like a normal balle. I will ask you to edit or redo your part or worst case, reject, unless you make changes requested.

Testing:
And the boring part, that nobody cares about and everybody just want me to start it instead, testing. For this one, I will most likely ask for help on testing.
Not only for the "Is it finishable", I do want feedback about the hardness, the annoyingness, the playability, the improvements, the visuals, the bugs fixing (buglines, etc)
I would like Ramone to help me on the design, Pab on the visual ideas and Zero to test the playing if they accept of course. I will make the rest like putting everything together, mawanizing and testing all resolutions and zooms to avoid grass in walls, etc.

So, who do you want to have its part in this level and in what order? I will make the first part.
Here are my suggestions, haven't asked them yet either, not any order in particular:
VJ, Koopa, Jon, nom, Ramone, Pab, FinMan, Lousku, 8-ball, Zebra, Zero, danielj, mpq, Blaztek, tl, Hosp, Juish, Leek, Roope, John, totem, umiz

What do you expect, want in this one?
Feel free to give suggestions to our designers, with written reply, with an example image, video, etc.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT:
Designers who want to contribute (not in order):
Mawane, Roope, danielj, igge, Zero, jblaze, Hosp, Dracon, Chris, Haruhi, FinMan, pawq, zebra, Wacco, insguy

To edit:
Order of designers:
1. Mawane
2. Zero
3. Pab
4. danielj
5. jblaze
6. nick-o-matic
7. koopa
8. Zebra
9. FinMan
10. ville_j
11. niN
12. Ramone
13. igge
14. Jappe2
15. bamilan
16. TTechnik
17. TL
18. next

6a. FinMan was supposed to be 6th, but he made it later
6b. Roope lacking of originality
6c. DR@CON too hard
8. adi gave him on June 22nd, but never made his part
9. Hosp Gave him level July 31st. Never made it 2months later.
13a. TL Gave him his part on November 24th. On December 12th it wasn't done, he will make his part later.
13b. insguy Too risky
...
Green means his part is done
Orange means it's in process of designing
Red means his turn to create is later
Blue means it is cancelled for various reasons

I suggest to not wait for everybody to confirm they will make a part and I will start making the 1st part then pass to the next one, let's say in order of who confirm 1st, 2nd, etc. SO daniel, get ready :)

EDIT: whoever is ready when i send to the next player should make it faster
EDIT2: I thought about making the level in whatever order you want to play it, so this would be like a spider with like 20 legs where all legs represent a designer, what do you think?

Sounds like very cool idea, but also very hard to execute :P If you have an idea of how to plan this I say go for it :)

here are some ideas: we will most likely use top right typical chain lev idea
http://kopasite.net/up/34/Untitled.png

top left: I would make inter-designers tunnel system to connect for example 2 to 15 16 17 18, designers parts for parts 6+ would have to make their level return to start, 2 3 4 5 would have to connect from 1 to the outter ring and i would make a tunnel directly from 1 to the outter ring too

top right: normal system

bottom left: people have choice to either go right or left, then once they are both completed, they go on the next floor and complete them, possibility to go straight to the last parts by skipping left and right all the way down

bottom right: least likely system, kind of a apple harvest multi round where u have to get back up top to complete other parts or could make it so u can enter from either top or bottom of the part but it would be a pain to design a level with multiple entrances

Any other suggestions?

flower is in first part, and i guess the four designers who make 2nd will also make way back after 5th`?
edit: this probably better:

Added everybody who wish to join on the list of designers. Also made a poll about which system you would like to use for designing:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9057

EDIT:
My part: pipe width might get standardized, won't work on the visuals until the whole level is done.
and Zero's part almost done.

Feel free to ask me if you need any help (even if its just a very little part/spot).

When is the release date? I'm really looking for it.

Sure, I can add you to the list of designers for the project.
There is no planned release date, but atm, people seem to take 1-2 weeks to finish their part including the exchange between me and the designer to fix some parts, and testing in collab with zero. so if I can expect to have like 16 designers and we have finished 3 yet, then I'd approximate 26 weeks, excluding the final finishing touches, so add another month, so maybe the projects finishes in 30 weeks, which seem to be beginning of october ;)

lol

Could I take part as well? I've made a few pies in my day, but I've played zillions, so I've got a bit of experience/knowledge when it comes to playability :)
