That, and they have the difficult job of making sure the rules are obeyed, not easy with people like dz about!

also moderators delete topics/messages if those are highly violating board rules, they enable polls by moving them onto the polls section, they can start special threads which are always on top of sections, they can edit posts by other users, etc.

apart from that, they are feared by most (but not every

) users of the board

only if the moderator makes up all these hard rules. but i guess since it's abula's forum also he knows the best description.
