Email notification

Post by Antz »

i put "notify me when a reply is posted" to the "NoFood" topic. later i put it off (from the e-mail msg if i remember correctly). now instead of getting a notification from abula@moposite.com i get a totally blank msg from him when a new reply is posted. it isn't much use being able to remove a notification if it doesn't remove it..

ne1 else getting blank msgs from abu like this?

Are you sure it's not any normal virus mail which just happened to come at the same time someone posted to the thread?

I get that with all the threads that i have "notify me when a reply is posted" on. I know it's about mopolauta because when I get about 10 of these in my maiilbox and go to mopolauta there's about 10 new messages. I didn't say anything about this because it isn't that big a problem.
edit - thought you should know, this started happening after mopolauta went all crazy and stuff went wrong

Try this: go to your profile and click "no" to "Always notify me of replies".

Antz: next time think for 10 seconds for better topic, it was "0dd problem, ne1 else have?" before I changed it.

Also understand the difference of forums "Problems" and "Feedback". Problems is for Elma and Feedback for Moposite.

sry, was in a bit of a hurry then and didn't bother thinking of an excellent topic name. and i'm sure it came because of the notification because it's like third or fourth time this happens, exactly after getting a reply in the nofood topic.

What's the size of the mail?
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

i've now waited for ½h-1h and don't see any empty messages, so i guess it's fixed! or then it's because it doesn't mark my own postings as notificated. dang. oh well, i'll put this oen too as a notificated and see whether all is well.

The problem was that the sendmail program or function wasn't installed to our ISP's new server yet.
