Well, my nonlucky personal best is 11 seconds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pAPuiqjhK4
I have participated 7 competitions so far. My best average in a competition was 19.09 and 16.97 single. I have an official 2.88 2x2x2 solve:). Anyway.. I play 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, pyraminx, onehanded, fmc. I started cubing more than 2 years ago.
Here's a video about me solving the cube one-handed in 23 seconds (I made it last week): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DV3B3PuoCU

Haha Fin is full of sick words. That is one plural (there are many kind of plurals in Finnish) for a word "räplääjä" or "fumbler" (link to a multilanguage dictionary) or something. The exact translation to that räplääjäsentence:

Code: Select all

Silloin SM-titteli irtosi noin 19 sekunnin suorituksella, ja tittelistä kisasi yli tuhat kuution räplääjää.
=
Back then the Finnish Champion -title required a performance of about 19 seconds and over one thousand fumblers of the cube competed for the title"

I just finished my first cube without looking for teh algorithms. I do know the basic phases of building teh (from bottom to top, top layer middle pieces and last final corners) though. Finding moves that do not fak ap the whole cube was not that hard really. Basically I just first moved the piece in the place where I wanted it to be, then checked the bottom layer and fixed it.. this many times resulted in nice outcome. And when it didn't, I varied teh move a bit and eventually found teh. But I am not entirely sure what happened with the corner pieces so that they just turned out the right way, have to play with the situation more to really understand that... other moves I figured out are 100% working but ofc maybe not the fastest and optimal... soon maybe I'll start looking out for tips and moves from teh internets!
< roopemies> horror and frustrating and can't play, sounds just like you
