Board games

Post by J-sim »

Who plays board games and what do you play?

I'm still finding out what type of games i prefer. But so far I've mostly been into eurogames like Agricola, Puerto Rico, Castles of Burgundy, Lords of Waterdeep etc. Some other games I've played a lot and liked are Game of Thrones, The Resistance, Memoir '44 and Citadels.

A couple of days ago I got Through the Ages. Unfortunately we only managed to play about half a game, because it's so damn big and complex. Seems like a totally max game. Made by a czech dude, so maybe some of the czech mans have played it?

Also totally STOKED for Uwe Rosenbergs new game Caverna - a kind of Agricola 2. Hoping to get it for christmas.

Pictionary isn´t a board game, it is even less board than Activity 2.

My sister recently bought that one at a flea market. We had been talking about it for years prior having both played it at our daycare when we were young. Is nice game)

I also like Yatzy.
I also like regular english/french cards or what they're called.
Also MtG is nice but haven't played in a long time, was planning on starting but it's expensive and my friends didn't buy it.

Ye, MtG is mega fun, played long time ago. I think Bludek still plays it :)
I forgot some games, edited my list as well:
Ubongo (this is only means to be with your friends)
MtG (ex-player, UG discard-aggro, R roast)
Poker (played only in school, no big deal)
If games like Draughts, Chess, Halma etc count, i have played them like crazy since 2009-2012.
Also SoC: small version (the dice game)

If someone wants to play Settlers, go on http://www.playcatan.com
