Sleep talking

Post by Madness »

Does anyone here talk in their sleep? I've always been told that I do and some time ago I decided to record everything I say at night. Found out that I often moan or scold somebody, but sometimes I just make funny and surreal sounds.

Here are two recordings from yesterday for a laugh:

http://kopasite.net/up/esxgy754g3b448d/ ... (1.18).wav

If you ever record or recorded something too, please share it here.

Nice topic. These files don't work at least on mobile so can't have a listen yet. I don't think I talk much while sleeping, but I have thought about recording/filming myself many times because I've heard I snore a lot at times.. I also have many sleep paralysis and some years ago I used to wake up a lot and start gasping like I wasn't breathing properly and also had some jaw problems because I do some jaw thing while sleeping.. So definitely would be interesting to see all this from another point of view.

Today I screamed in a funny voice and then I said "whaaat?! oh my goodness, you fucking gint." (never heard "gint" before, but it seems to be an actual and offensive word according to Urban Dictionary). :D
Yesterday I said something that I couldn't understand and it seemed like the exact same thing I said a few days ago too. 8O At the end I said "prosím, prosím" (= please in Czech), so it might've been something in Czech.
17/09 I screamed "aaah" three times and then I said "fujtajbl!" (= yuck in Czech)
13/09 I said "nah, it's all right"

2nd one sounds like your imitating riding a bike :)
Your nick also seems more appropriate now.

I've been told that I talk and make noises while sleeping and sometimes even giggle or laugh. During the last five years sometimes my dreams were so funny that I wake up laughing out loud. Really freaks out people who are sleeping in the same room.

I also remember the first nightmare of my life where my mother got eaten by some giant frog monster: I screamed in the dream and woke up, still screaming, like in a Hollywood movie. Very weird but nice transition from sleep/dream state to conscious/wake state.

Continuously with Audacity, then I just check the parts with noise and cut it out.
