Kuski of July 2003

Post by MagnusB »

Suggest questions and candidates.

magicman: Has been around for a long, long time. He finally got his first WR in Bowling some tables ago. He has a good TT (under 43), and he did very well in WCup 4. He ended as the highest ranked Swede with 7th place. He has made an elma rap song, listen to it here. He's a very nice guy, and he literally smiles all the time. :)

Stini: Stini has improved madly since he joined the scene some time in December 2002. He has literally been improving his TT by 1 minute per month since January this year, currently it's 41:55,82. He has improved it almost 45 seconds only this last week! He is a very good battler and is doing fairly well in the Mopobattles standings. He has had one Finnish record in the past, and has done well in some external contests. He also got decent results in the final WC4 events. Don't be suprised if you see him breaking the 41 TT limit in August (or even earlier), it just means he's on schedule so far.

deadnite: deadnite suddenly broke through with 2 WRs in one table in March this year. He has had a total of 9 WRs since then. He ended in top20 in World Cup 4. He's a member of IC, which is a sure sign of talent. He has also shown his skills in mopobattles, with one event victory.

SoC: Almost everyone knows SoC in some way, and maybe not always in a good way. The fact of matter, however, is that if you look behind the poor English skills you will find a talented player. He has improved his TT greatly in quite short time, currently it's 43:43.94. He's a decent battler. And if not for his abilities, maybe SoC deserves to win the KOM title simply for the incredible impact he has had on the elma scene and its grammar.

John: As I'm writing this, John is trying to shave 0.31 seconds off his TT, in order to break the 40 minute barrier. He has probably already succeeded when you read this. In a fashion reminiscent of DarMoeD, he came from practically nowhere. And although he, unlike DarMoeD, hasn't had any WRs yet, it's more than likely that he could have if he tried. There's certainly nothing lacking in the skills department. John is also a good battler, and is doing well in the mopobattles statistics.

Did I forget an essential point about one of the players? Tell me here.

Edited for clarity.

ok i do an exception and vote for KOM,eventhough im against it because it wants me to tell the kuski of july by their impact in scene in june-begin of july. But John just made 39.xx total and i guess he did already enough for this july to deserve my vote.

HOw come the old guys like Psy, Mp and DZ don´t understand this poll....As you see the name if it says "Kuski of July"....What the hell has SoC done in July?...not a crap....So for me the choise is easy...John is for sure the best candidate but Deadnite sure deserves to win too....I hope at least the next motnh the guys the claims they know this seen can read the name of the topic and vote as it should be voted....Who cares what people has done in the IRC....it´s the KUSKI of the month....and thos guys play elma and don´t speak crap on some IRC channel...To bad if SoC wins cause in my opinion he don´t deserve it eventough he might be a hell of a guy, but that don´t qualifies him to be such a good kuski to win this poll....bye bye birdie :)

Actually Abula has stated himself that that was not the intention he had concerning this poll:
Abula wrote:Seems like there are two different ways to see these kuski of month polls.

1) Vote the greatest kuski of the _specific_ month.
2) Vote the greatest kuski of the candidates during whole Across & Elma history.

There isn't any exact rule about this but I was thinking the second one when I made the section. If we wanted to have the poll as in first alternative we should change the rules a bit: one player can be voted multiple times and therefore the interviews would be kind of senseless. First alternative would also have some interesting aspects but I think current system is better anyway. Only the biggest hoylas could make victories in 1. Wouldn't it be boring if DMD won 6 and TorInge 6 polls in a year. Nothing for other people. In the second alternative we get more interviews from many different kind of persons.

So why don´t you just let all the good and famous player do this interview cause that´s what everybode seems to want...and if the pool isn´tw what the name meens then why the hell do you call it that?....

Just because the month the poll is held has nothing to do with who you should vote for, doesn't mean that it's not a competition. The poll is here to decide who those "good and famous players" are.
And "Kuski We Believe Deserves To Win The Poll This Month" would be a sucky name.
