Kuski of July 2004

Post by SveinR »

Comes late but good. You'll have till about the 5th of August to vote on this one.

Suggest questions and candidates.

---------------------

swos: You all know this guy..Among his achievements lowering the Zig Zag WR from about 1:21 to 1:08 (then under the name of Jarkko H). He has had 14 WRs in his time, and frankly, it's quite astonishing that he hasn't won the KOM award yet. swos is also a great level designer, just check wcup320 for proof.

Stini: Stini came into the scene in December 2002, and quickly improved his TT. He's not improving it that much nowadays, but it lies on the 40.xx mark. He's taken different WRs on the level Pipe, and recently, he made the WR go below 33 secs. He has a great Enigma WR as well . Stini is also one of the smartest guys in the scene, and perhaps the best elma chess player.

Kuper: Unknown Russian with 38 TT.

oizo!: Oizo has been in the scene for ages (since 1998), and his first elma WR was in table #009. He's been a bit on-and-off the past few years though. Recently he got a new WR on Double Trouble, which Zweq beat again a few tables ago. In his time, Oizo! has had 13 WRs.

Viper_KillerGuy: Viper has probably made the most useful tool for the people in #battle next to the ballebot, and maybe more useful than that too. He was the first to make a public, one-hour uploading script. Other work he has made for the scene involves his ratemyrec and ratemylev scripts, and last but not least, his works with Moposite and the Kuski Gallery. Is also updating the Danish site nowadays.

Did I forget something important about one of the candidates? Tell me in this thread or by PM.

Stini

although i think he'll agree his chess throne has been somewhat overthrown... blah i won't elaborate

i hope swos comes second. so many new styles, not only in ZZ, he is apparently the inventor of both the Ramp Frenzy shortcuts too, and had a wr once with, i think, 57.14

kuper, i´ve got his recs and they are so nice...
i dont think they are so nice.... just regular recs, no achievements..... There is no coal recs, just some good ones.
btw, sveinr forgot to write that kuper had one WR and he is also not so bad OLP player.... errr, nothing more...

Dont want to vote someone... Half of these dont deserve this. Where is nh for example? He did so much work in ALP, got soo insane wrs...
There are also some another kuskis who deserve winning in this poll. I wont write 'em now here....

In my opinion at least ANpDaD and nh should have been nominated to this KOM. Hopefully SveinR does that on the next poll then.

what are cool or nice recs in your opinion? watch his jaws for example then tell me again that it's just "good" and no special achievement

and getting under 39 tt is also a bit more than just "good" in my opinion...

edit: and btw who of them doesn't deserve the kom-title in your opionion? i think everyone of them deserves it cos all of them did something great

Gave kuper me vote, dunno why exactly...

imo. "old" ppl like swos that hasn't show any activity for long time, shouldn't be nominated. I know that it's about what ppl have done in whole elma career, but I guess many ppl that is around now don't really know him, I don't. but.. I don't know....

I'll give my vote to Viper Killerguy, great to see guys giving something else to the scene than just playing like 95% does.

Well in order of driving duh.
And maybe you could've thought up with that answer yourself, while Jokke played ramp frenzy much before dz came. Check his record on that level on the early tables. Together with the replays.

it's not that obvious... people made the end shortcut much before they did the middle shortcut.... so it was done first chronologically

First -kinghias, there are no ANY new things in kuper's recs. just hoyl. Just watch some tors or clouds or, for example, luthers recs - they are all much more interesting and coal. Luther and cloud have very close tts with
kupers, but they have much more coal recs!

Second - I dont like internals much. I am an externalist. I know that if i start hoyling internals Seriously, i could do under 39 ez(hmmm, ok, nat so ez, but nat so hard tho....) ! And under-38-mins club is very big nowadays (about 10 ppl here) so there isnt any SUPER-coalness to be here.... there are A LOT OF ppl who are much more cool kuskis than kuper, but they have worse tts just because they dont like internals!

imo. "old" ppl like swos that hasn't show any activity for long time, shouldn't be nominated. I know that it's about what ppl have done in whole elma career, but I guess many ppl that is around now don't really know him, I don't. but.. I don't know....
ye, i agree with that.....

and.... i vote stini cuz of his insane enigma!

SveinR, you should really do something for making the polls sooner...they always pop after the first-half of the month....

Or, do you want it to be so, so people are more interested in it ?!?
