about 2001, who cares. It was 6 years ago. ppl die every day.
Same as with that young Madeleine McCann(i think it was =P ).. what's so special about HER kidnapping that takes her from any other kidnapping?.. i say this.. Money and media.
not to sound that´I don't care and have no hearth. But I think the media goes a bit over the border with these things.
once again ty guys =P.. gonna be max0r now.. ez ALOT older.. like wtf O_o

Ehm... 9/11 pretty much changed the world, and it was the first (and only) time in history the US mainland was attacked severely. It led to both the war in Afghanistan and the war in Iraq, so how you can brush it off by saying "ppl die every day", "who cares" and "the media goes a bit over the border with these things" is beyond me. There is a huge difference between 9/11 and the kidnapping of Madeleine McCann (though that is of course a tragic event for everyone involved).Xiphias wrote: about 2001, who cares. think he means the overdramatized wtc event, while the consequences were far worse. I mean at least finnish tv was full of propaganda shit 2 days ago about the event, a movie showing panic inside the towers. OK I was shocked when I saw it live 2001, OK the horror was undescribable, but I think we are being manipulated to symphatize the victims of wtc, instead of concentrating on the wars that are or were going on in the middle east, which are basically not only causing the death of hundreds of thousands of people but also wiping out whole cultures. takes hundreds of years to recover, if ever, while we (you) cry about the wtc.

But tis happened in america! So it's much more important than those daily killings in other countries down by the.. you know.. there.. east somethingZweq wrote:think he means the overdramatized wtc event, while the consequences were far worse. As an "american" (i come from north america, don't forget ), i must say a little something.
I do agree with igge saying that when something happens in the usa, it may get overdramatized or whatever but, that's a whole different thing. On 9/11, extremists flew two damn planes into the twin towers! I really don't think that can be compared to an everyday killing in any country. And if americans overdramatize it, it's maybe because those things don't happen quite often!
Maybe i'm being brainwashed by medias but, i honestly am happy when i see some extremists blowing up themselves cause, i tell myself: "One less of these stupid assholes". (sorry for harsh language). I'm fed of those guys and i'm even more fed up of medias feeding us up with those repeated and continual murders and killings in the mid-east. I no longer feel sad for people dying in mid-east, i almost think that living in countries like iraq and afghanistan is like living on the death-row, waiting for death to take you away.
i don't know how to end this post in a good way so, let's say: no offence to anyone.

I'd rather live in the USA than in like iraq, why? because I'd feel so much more insecure living in iraq. I feel that what people there go through every day is nothing compared to 1 attack against the twin towers. My point is, yes, 9/11 (01) was horrible, but so is 3/20 (03) - 9/11 (07 and counting)The_BoneLESS wrote:As an "american" (i come from north america, don't forget ), i must say a little something.

And 11 less innocent people including 2 children.The_BoneLESS wrote: Maybe i'm being brainwashed by medias but, i honestly am happy when i see some extremists blowing up themselves cause, i tell myself: "One less of these stupid assholes".
How can you feel sorry for dead people, and not feel sorry for people who are about to die - who has it worse?The_BoneLESS wrote: I no longer feel sad for people dying in mid-east, i almost think that living in countries like iraq and afghanistan is like living on the death-row, waiting for death to take you away.
Same here, no offence, but seriously, pretty heartless. Imagine if what's going on in the mid-east was going on in canada nd you had no chance of escping. How'd you feel about your post?The_BoneLESS wrote: i don't know how to end this post in a good way so, let's say: no offence to anyone.

i totally understand your point of view and that's why i am so happy to be living in such a peaceful country.
But anyway, it's very hard for me to judge anyone for mid-east as i've never been there and i probably don't understand a thing of what's happening there ether. From my perspective, those few countries are just messed up (not the people specificly but, the situation in general).
hummm... i do not feel sorry for dead people (depends which ones). I do feel sorry for the victims, not for the killers. I guess i feel the same towards people who are about to die.igge wrote:How can you feel sorry for dead people, and not feel sorry for people who are about to die - who has it worse?
