hey,
when i play xp on my laptop with winxp home edition...
after bout 20mins elasto goes nuts and its on overload...
accelerating a bit looks like ur goin 30 times faster.

When I play Across in XP it's lagging normally untill I first time press alt+tab. Alt+tab again and back to Across and the game is two times faster, menu animations and the bike. Weird.
