Ya lucky one. I droved only some vw-s, and a seat leon (our car). Btw here in Hungary drivers aren't as agressive as jcl told, maybe only in Budapest (the capital city ).
I have driving licence since about a half yr.

Peronally, I think it's boring as hell to drive. Hope to have the licence this year, but it's going to be a struggle.

No really, still costs alot for fuel and stuff, and shitty(old) cars also needs more time at the mecanic.

well not necesarily.... im getting my uncles opel kadet for free, after it has been repaired that is... so i only have to worry about fuel and i can limit the cost of that depending on how much i drive, so actually not that big a cost for me, and though it is a old car (´87) it doesnt need that much repair, besides i only care about motor and tires at this car.. and if the motor busts, well then i get rid of the car :)

Besides the actual far, fuel and repairs, MOT, etc, I meant more like the INsurance was a killer. Im only 17 see, and I live in a 'bad Postcode area' so no-one will insure me for less than £3000 :D :D :D

By bad Postcode area I mean there are like 2 ends of my area (BS7). My end is like the 'rich' end, and the other one is like crapville, so they always come up to my end to steal cars and stuff, so my whole area gets bad insurace costs for it. If I moved to BS6 or somewhere else itd go down loads

Last week I got my papers that allows me to practise driving so I was out driving for the first time (legally) this saturday and it is really funny :) It was the first time my mom let me drive on public roads. I was pretty nervous while driving so I missed one turning so I had to go 800 meters further and going one lap in roundabout and back ;P
Was out today again, just got home even and today it went much better. Have much better control while driving already. But I feel I dont want to go drive on E4 yet, atm just going on those 70 and 90 roads. Already want to go out drive again :P

Argh, that simulator..

Y'know, stop doing the sim and go straight to learning the real deal. Pretty much the only thing the sim will give you is 'tunnel sight', which your drivings instructor's gonna have a hard time telling you to lose for the next months ;)

I drove on E4 (highway) yesterday, but I got behind some mango who only drove like 80km/h so I had to drive in that speed too since I feel insecure about driving past other cars ;X

No big deal. My friend got his first phase in 1998 and thought he could go to second phase this year. He has driving test next tuesday. Of course he's been driving normally past ten years, every day to work and so. :-)

my 2 year driver license expired too because they couldnt contact me for dark driving lesson, it cost around 50e to get another 2 year license, which also is the last chance to get permanent license. just go cry to police station with passport sized pic and 50e and you'll get new chance jappeboi. certainly cheaper than doin the school again.

I have completed driving in dark few months ago but have been waiting for papers ever since :S

watefak, sounds like bongo license system up there in finarse.

In thailand you need to drive through a small alley or something, and afterwards you get your license.

Aced both the theory and driving tests in 1 try, but drove like 45 hours for that. Driving in Amsterdam can be crowded though, so well. I had the driving test today, and I got ill this night, had to puke, didn't sleep well, had terrible headache, but two aspirins saved the day. Next week I can finally drive around on my own. In spring to germany, so I can practise the higher speeds. My brother did 225 km/h recently there. At my parent's home there's a freeway where we did 204 km/h once, but personally I won't be doing that anytime soon. =D

Reminds of driving with my brother in Sweden; bunch of pussies dame! We drove 180 km/h downhill there, with a 20 year old Citroën AX10. It felt like getting airborne. The speedometer was all maxed out, hehe. :)

If you get over 120 km/h here in Canada (and i would guess in North America altogether), you're most likely gonna get a fine if you pass a police car on the highway.

200 km/h? You crazy europeans!

Edit: You might also have better roads than here in Canada, they're in horrible shape.

When you get your license in Sweden you can drive off by yourself immediately. Which kinda sucks because I hade to take the bus home since I didn't have access to a car anywhere near where I took the test >.>

In Canada, roads are crap because of the harsh springs... -2°C, 3°C, -4°C, 2°C, -1°C, 6°C, -2°C, 5°C and so on.
And I find speed limits stupid in Quebec, 100 km/h on highways yet you can drive at 120 km/h past a police and they won't say shit; in a 50 km/h zone you can very often go up to 70 without any trouble, and you can drive at 95-100 in 80 zones. I say we should raise all limits by 10 for 30-40 zones and 20 for 50+ and fine everyone going 1+ km/h over, way more intelligent.
