should be detectable in teh next version, however i would still give him ban
in the next version any attempt like this would result in the eternal ban

I don't think he deserves ban. He's only havin' some fun with elma.exe, but I don't think it is really cheating/annoying. But I would ban him if he continued winning balles that are made for real competition with it.

it was phun.. until some day. his cheating could be even allowed imo, but he should never ever play on belma with cheated exe, and ofc never upload his cheated times anywhere.
my solution would be: snadle, keep on cheating ur elma.exe and developing ur programming skialz but dont turn it into belma and dont play online with teh cheated. :|

Yeah, I think it's ok that he changes elma.exe for fun and then maybe come in belma to show for some minutes, but not cheat in balles and cheat times with it.

It's a cheat, ban is overdue, I've been banned for a month for using gravity patch outside of a battle, so what the fuck is the problem here? You might reconsider your odd opinions now, go on, I'm all ear.

why not add an "auto bad" feature like in trackmania nations?

I mean, when someone gets annoying, press that f9 key, are you sure you want to put up the "ban" pool? press y, then people decide vote yes or no (if they want) by pressing e.g. f1 for yes, f2 for no, and after 60 seconds countdown: 6 on 10 decided to ban kuski7321, so be it (auto ban feature) anyway /2 cents

agree... Theres just that little community, if we do that, easy to kick someone out for fun. and then its 1/100 of active players out. 8O No, not good.

I think western's idea is good. If 60% of people agreed that a player should be banned, then he definately deserves his ban. The ban could be something like a day or a week, not longer.

ye, and if there are let's say, jaytea, zweq and 8 bloody n00bs. the nabs will ban them because they are annoyed because always the same dudes win the level. total newbies just shouldn't be allowed to vote.

Re: Ban List for the temporary Belma server

At least in trackmania that isn't a problem. Someone sometimes makes a ban vote but i have never seen such a vote to pass. If someone tried to ban zweq, it would really need 60 % of the people to say 'yes'. I guess there are always more than half of the people who are sane and would vote 'no'. Instead, I think, it could result in a ban for the guy who started vote against zweq.

But in trackmania there are much votes like 'go to next challenge' and 'restart challenge' which usually pass.

Trust me, this voting system is pretty good and would work. You wouldn't always need an admin to for example abort a battle.

Admins would always have a possibility to reject/accept a vote instantly.

maybe its nat the most stupid thing ive ever heard, but seems a bit stupid. i will tell ya why. on belma there are always some nabs who wanna make fun out of serious players and the whole community. they would ex. start a vote to ban zweq, other nabs would 'yes' cuz they think baning zweq would be phunny, some serious players wouldnt vote cuz they simply dont care about such things, and after all zweq could be banned. stupid.

too, when I first saw it, I've felt dubious. but, hey! it worked well

haven't read all the posts.. orkade.. but I can say this:

No need to implement any vote ban feat. Alot easier if the banning votes are all offline or some where else. Then there's no fuzz about misuse.

of course there is "no reason to implement something that isn't really needed."
then I think the question that should be asked is: "is the feature really needed?"

No.
 Your reply was straight and direct, made me giggle a little.

I think ban vote would be good if there was always at least 15 players active, but sometimes I play at midnight (5:00-7:00 in most of the Europe) and I'm the only active player in the whole wide world, so ez 2/3 vote by nabs...

like I said, I am astonished that in trackmania, the most spammer-annoying person on the planet rarely gets banned. to the point it gets such annoying, then you cast vote pool, only to find out to 80% of peepz voted no to ban. so yes, overall, the feature may not work: nobody ends up getting banned.
