#ballelma logs and possible battle stats
hey!
i was wondering if any op or someone has saved any logs from #ballelma channel. we havent had any battle stats since #battle days and it would be entirely possible to create atleast a partial results from the logs. zworqys bot saves logs? those would be obviously the best and most complete ones. i imagine not hard to ask zebra change his program a little to make the stats but in the past when i asked he wasnt that enthusiastic about it, said better just to wait for new version.

Yea, ignore the rankings. There shouldn't be anything wrong with the formulas but seems that everything we got is weird results...

zebra if you got the energy for it, could you split the stats into weekly (or daily/monthly) segments too so we could get some trends visible, like for example i'd like to see how much my winning % has gone up since 2007 and a graph showing average weekly win% over 2 years would be a really interesting statistic to check.
you could probably come up with a lot of others too, generic and nick-based. like average amount of players participating per week, per month, per specific day of week like 'sundays', most levels designed in a single week/month, average amount of battles per month for every month, etc (think #ranks).

Sorry but I don't have energy to do that all. But you can do it. You can download the newest mergestats (v.1. from my page and the log files from this thread and then just split the log files into weekly files and then generate the statistics from each file. All you have to do in mergestats is to import the log file (option 1) and save the result (option 16). The graphs can be harder to make. first events were strange, why were there so many balles with only one player? was this all testing?I won't be updating these stats monthly because (hopefully) Elma Online will be ready soon and have better statistics. But here are the statistics, enjoy.

ive always wondered, didnt skintor have a site that kept logs for belma, collected a bunch of money to and then kind of bailed out on it. did everybody get their money back?

gimp, it was some early version of elma online and nobody got their money back, it was kinda sad. One day the server just was down and skint0r tried to get the server back up (at least he said he tried) but he couldn't and then he just pretty much disappeared.

well, i often just download the lev(not playing at all), and try 2-3times, almost always with result: 0 apples, so ez better stats in EOL

yea had a version sorting by amount of won balles too but lost it, and dont have the source code to the norm one anymore so cant edit. ill just have to get down to it and write it properly. maybe one day xd ill try to release overall stats for belma when belma is closed. just btw, does registration at eol site equal getting an account? :O was supposed to be closed :s
