OpenTTD / transport tycoon

Anyone else play this great game? I played transport tycoon and then transport tycoon deluxe as a kid and nowadays there's this awesome "OpenTTD" which is an open source clone of the game. I tried OpenTTD the first time over a year ago and got hooked for a month. Just recently I've been trying to play it again, but it's hard to find decent playing buddies who aren't blockers, retards or polish. The whole point of the game to me is to build a massive railroad network that connects either every industry you concentrate on or every town.

The support this game is having is pretty tremendous, the WEBSITE has relaxing design and is easy to browse, but that's only minor compared to the actual game. They have really KICKASS c++ coders spending a lot of their freetime improving the game, I wonder where they get their energy from. All the improvements seem to be very well thought through, they make only minor changes that improve the already existing core elements but not change the core.

Point of this topic actually is just to advertize this game to old people who have possibly liked transport tycoon in their childhood, because this game is truly a great experience when you get the hang of railroad networks. The other point is that just like I asked if anyone else plays it, I want to know if there is a possibility that there are other OpenTTD fans in the elma scene that would like to make a cooperative company and possibly even own server. Cooperative play in same company is something I haven't experienced yet, simply because I always password protect my company. Far too often a polish guy comes to terrorize the games. Why the fuck is it always a Polish?

zoo tycoon 1 was my favourite of the tycoon games. i tried zt2 but didn't like it. rct3 was pretty nice, but by then i didn't really enjoy that genre of game.

Sure I did. It was Transport Tycoon Deluxe. Frankly my older brother has been playing it and I've been watching. I was only 7 or 8 that time.
