ye i live at a bus station. Stole this nokia3310 back in 2003 from this white guy, as well as his mp3 player.
Well, in fact, my bag is always with me, and i hide my 2 keys, a passport and a student card there. The bag also contains few copybooks, two pens, few science papers and a book. I never leave home without these things, and they just can't fit inside pockets.

you ppl are weird anyway, I always carry the very few same items in the same pockets. wallet and keys in the left, cellphone in the right. wallet contains all the important shit like guitar picks and coffee receipts. cellphone works as an emergency #ranks skurring device, multimedia center and spy camera. keys are nice for entering places

I usually never wear anything in my pockets, but if I have to, it's:

right pocket: keys, cell
left pocket: wallet, which contains a shitload of cards, usually hardly any cash (debit card usually works) and a photo of the newborn daughter of my sister.

otherwise all the crap goes into my backpak/rucksack/eastpack, which isn't mine even, but I sort of inherited it from my mother. In this bag I carry books, music sheet paper, lots of pens, name cards, an mp3player (though since a few weeks it has mysteriously vanished into thin air), my netbook (I don't have any other computer nowadays =), and lunch.

When I have backpack I put my wallet there.

Sometimes, instead of jeans, I wear trousers with pockets on sides. In that case I put my wallet in left trouser-leg pocket and phone in right.

I think keys and phone together is bad because they can scratch the screen (if they are on that side at least).

Also, somehow to me the idea of carrying important stuff like money or passport in your pockets is very uncomfortable since there is so little separating them from the outside world. At least bags have a zipper, which creates a separate "dimension". But I guess you could argue that in some ways stealing bags is easier than reaching in people's pockets.

When I posted that I carry keys and phone in the same pocket I had a Lumia, one of the earlier smartphones. Its screen was max unscratchable and it was quite small, so there was no problem carrying both in the same pocket. Nowadays I still carry phone in right front pocket, wallet in left front pocket, and keys are in some jacket pocket/backbag/right back pocket of pants.
