twipley i like your posts very much, but the italics really screw the whole thing... if you want to use emphasis, just paste links with the .wav files containing your sayings

will do. :)

EDIT: some blu001 replays -- narrowed it down to 3 different ones.

- u8 went smooth, although could have benefited from boulder jump after second apple, i guess;
- push from boulder is also quite reproducible, although sliding is easier to perform. once used to it, there is no much luck;
- same thing with the support boulder in the hole for the floor-springboard cre; coupled with the push, speed can can be valuable.

Sorry for the triple post. This is probably the last time I'm posting in this topic though, unless I decide to make my own levels.

Another set of files... It's hard to make it like I made it in the 8,10 cres, although I hope you will agree "possible 7,xx." :)

Lovely game. I figured out how to do bug bounces. Try the speed loop level and wait until you launch.

The greatness of this game lies on moveable-pieces levels. Interaction with those moving platforms or boulders to gain speed is what is really interesting, because it easily adds extra depth to gameplay by enabling one, though deployment of quick and adapted reflexes, to gain evolutionary advantage and benefit from the solicited coordination requirements.

This is the reason both islands and blu001 are inducing some captivation. make a pack of such levels and you are losing me, and others too, to that amle "abyss."

lol at the level i'm making right now. (i'll post back here later.)

edit: i deleted almost all the (moving) gameplay elements of the level, because it was lagging too much. in the end, i found out that it was leaving the editor opened that cut the fps in a fivefold manner. so if that happens to anyone else, know that one can close the editor window to make it run as normal!

edit2: uploading lev before it gets worse. it used to be good, with pieces and boulders falling here and there, and nice elements... but as hours went by, it deteriorated in quality. 3 hours of work for a not-so-good level. i am sharing anyway... :| :| --

edit3: goal has been reachen: finnally i have created what i wanted to -- a level relying on both luck and moving objects:
warehouse.lev
(10.47 KiB) Downloaded 218 times
also, took me only 3 minutes to create.

perhaps it is a little too relying on luck (especially towards the end), as can be shown by my third try, u15 (how did i do that?!).

anyway, such is the kind of levels with great playability. it can be returned to, because every run feels different.

this is the kind of levels that are great to be played trhough this game... hope point is made.

so what are your thoughts? -- i'm nab? :)

What is the difference between Start level and Update level script? So Start level is only on launch and Update repeats throughout your run?

I made a mod like level where you can fly by jumping.
Let's just call it something very appropriate as FlyMan.
FlyMan01.vle

Figured out how to do some moving object with Zweq's example and made them unrotatable with that link thingy.

Whoops. You're right. i removed the pack, and will upload another one tonight I guess. Also, not sure whether to include levs such as 001 and labr002 -- were it cool?

Nice flyman, by the way. ;)

Bump.

Any one under 40 at crossing, or under 13 at hilling? -- The latter requires lots of end luck though, although u14 is reasonable with "normal" placements.

EDIT: beaten Xiphias at the first FlyMan on first finish, although through lots of tries. The second one was then made possible, which before beating 01 looked quite hard.

EDIT2: another idea is putting lots of number or letter characters in a pool into which one would have to navigate in order to collect apples, then to escape through terminal hatch.
