I am pretty Disappointed not being able to find a way myself to fix this issue. I have been playing elma for years and suddenly, since the new avast update, it takes it as a threat and the file (eol.exe) is missing in my folder. I cannot find where it is and I don't know where to make an exception for it. I tried:
Avast -> Settings -> Active Protection -> File System Shield -> Exclusion
but it doesn't work. I tried to get back the file from a friend, but it doesn't let me download it! I disabled Avast for 10min to download the file back to my computer in its place and now it works, I guess I'll get the same issue when rebooting computer and starting the .exe . I also use a 3rd party .exe to make the game play windowed mode (D3D Windower), doesn't seem to be the issue but I guess it's good to add to the information provided.
I will change my antivirus if no solution is found, ie something else than Avast. Any tips?

<Pawq> at a gym you have only 3 options: 1. have your eyes closed, 2. stare at yourself, 3. stare at others, all of which are either super boring or disgusting
Re: Avast
I got the same shit happening to me. However windows just said that it couldn't find the file when I tried to open eol.exe. The file was gone after that. I tried to copy it from another place and only then I got some windows popup saying the file had an virus and that I couldn't copy it. Avast however didn't say shit to me and there is no eol.exe in quarantine either...
Re: Avast
I don't think this is wise option as it is possible to send virus as a winning rec.bhz wrote:Try:
avast -> settings -> antivirus -> Exclusion -> add EOL folder
You should rather fill this form:
http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php
Under "Subject/topic" choose: Report false virus alert in file
Up file.
