We weren't trying to put it down, we were trying to find ways to make it better. It was an interesting idea (one that has worked well before, e.g.
battle of the bands), but I think it could be made in such a way that it did not encourage spam, and where it could actually be interesting to follow. The way it works now it's like a basketball game on crack where it just speeds up to the point where it doesn't matter what happens next really.
Say we had one post per day per user instead. That way you could start seeing interesting trends, like what era of elmers are most active daily on the forum. Maybe oldschoolers would win weekends more, and newer people would win on weekdays because they have more free time then?
Anyway, sure. It's your game and you decide what the rules should be, but then again it's our forum together and you telling us how to behave in our forum kinda goes against that thinking too (same goes for the thread I started - who are you to say that's a waste of time? I thought it was hilarious and well worth it!).
I think I'm looking too much into this... -19.
