We are a very trustworthy team and hence we are proud to announce that, starting on Sunday 1.2.2015, we will host the first ever MiE cup with normal levels (for our previous cup see http://miepipecup.sshoyer.net/)!

The cup will consist of seven (7) normal one-week long events with levels designed at least by Koopa, roope, adi, talli and me. Only your six (6) best results will count, so there will be one skip allowed. The cup operates with EOL's cup system and it is needed to send in recs, so the system is going to be similar with the WC6.

There will not be a cup site this time, but to keep up to date and stoked about this cup you can visit this topic regularly and come to the cup channel #miecup @IRCNET!

Many of the cuplevels use the MiE LGR.

Second event was won by Spef, and his SPEED teammate, first event's winner Mielz, was tied for 2nd place with Zero. Zero's dat teammate finman was 4th. Tight battle in overall standings that look like this (top 10):

1. Mielz [SPEED] 180 points
2. Spef [SPEED] 175 points
3. Zero [dat] 165 points
4. finman [dat] 140 points
5. bamilan [WLA] 116 points
6. Bjenn [EF] 111 points
7. Pab [dat] 107 points
8. Hosp [WLA] 101 points
9. Zweq [WNO] 92 points
10. Tm [TEM] 91 points

The rest of the standings here: http://elmaonline.net/statistics/cups/5

Third event by talli, a fun höylä lev in my opinion!

Okay, perhaps it's time to share some thoughts about this cup.

The first event was a real success and I am happy for roope for that. It had a lot sick stuff like the Zweq's style, endbounce and SPEED's wheels-first-to-the-hang-after-midbounce-style.

The second event was much more one-route hoyla than we thought. The winstyle was a second or two faster than we believed and hence the level was much less heavy than we thought. We believed that at least the zweqroute and brutalroute are somewhat equal to it. And maybe few other routes as well. Here btw 39 brutalroute rec by Mielz and lol 37 saveloadroute rec by Spef (both shared in #miecup):

http://kopasite.net/up/1/miec102mie3948.rec
http://kopasite.net/up/2/MiEC102sp3783sl.rec

The third level was a hoyla again. It's been now three hoylas in a row but remember that the 2nd event wasn't supposed to be one. There's different levels incoming for sure... ;) Anyway I hope this thing doesn't drive away any players. Namely, it has been very gratifying to see how much people this cup has attracted. Before the first event Zero was the only top notch guy I knew was going to play this but now we have a great bunch of other guys to challenge him. Oviousofcoursely Mielz and Spef have been the most powferful ones from them so far, but there are quite many other candidates for cupwin as well. For example Zweq has had awesome recs in two of the first events despite of apparently not playing really seriously. And if he keeps producing equally good recs, he surely can start winning events and get enough points to win the whole thing. Also FinMan has gathered nice amount of points so far and if he starts playing more seriously he has a chance. Even Kazan, who didn't play the first two ones at all but has been playing the current level, might get to the top at the end in theory. Also bamilan and Hosp and Bjenn and Pab and Tm and Lee and Ville_J etc are great players and it is going to be interesting to see how things will go for them!

I am stoked to see what the situation will be like after the next level. It is a hoyla, so it can shuffle the situation a lot. As far as I know, some of the guys with the best points haven't played this one so much but some with lower points have done that a lot. Would be nice the see new winner and new top3 guys!

talli lev is the first one that got me hooked to höyling a bit more, 1st and 2nd events were more forced playing for me imo. But wont ever höyl supermutch because if mis some tricks then the time is wasted (actually one of the funest things about cups is to decide when to stop)

Okay, it's time for the last 8 hour-hoylage session for the talli event already, after that your recs will not count to the results. :( But what happens after 9 hours? Then comes the next level. Oh dear, the next level...

That level is the ultimate reason Elasto Mania exists.

That level is a proof that supernatural exists.

Not playing that event would be a great sin. Greater than any of the seven deadly sins (even gluttony). I'm afraid it would even be greater sin than all the seven deadly sins together (and that is very sin).

I'm very sorry but I can not contain myself anymore. I must reveal a spoilage screenshot: http://kopasite.net/up/0/divine.png

There has been some commotion with upping replays to Eolsite. It's been a hard task for us to decide whose times should be fixed and whose shouldn't. Here are some reasonings:
bamilan: In third event, he got this error when upping rec. He told about it in cup topic well before deadline, and got it fixed.
Lammas: In fourth event upped rec, got same error as bamilan. Didn't read instructions in topic (which I posted after bamilan case) and only told about this to the cup holders after deadline, even though apparently he had commonly wandered about it in EOL chat earlier. No fix.
Zero: Extremely mystery case. Claims everything was successful when upping a better rec in fourth event, but it didn't get uploaded. There is a possibility to check if the correct rec is upped though, so no fix.
Ville_J: Wrong time in fifth event because he upped better replay during the last hour before deadline. Server (located in US) had gone to daylight saving time, and it thought ville's rec was upped after deadline. Will be fixed.

So, people! Please confirm your correct replay is uploaded to Eolsite so everything goes smoothly. If anyone uploaded a better time during the last hour before last event's deadline, check if your position is correct here: http://elmaonline.net/statistics/cups/5#/results/67/5

6th event is megahöylä by me btw, go play!
