Old classic levels

Post by Schumi »

hi!

i am looking for old elasto mania quality levels (2000-2004/5). the reason i make a topic, because i feel these levels got underrated over the past years. started to play some lately, and i must admit that the creativity in these levels was faar greater than in any well-designed levs today. there is something inexplicable in these levs, that cannot be found anymore... uniqueness, nostalgia, originality, pure design

just some examples

if you have a great level post is here, at least i would play it, but i hope others would play it as well...

thanks!

Yeah, love the stuff from the early days, I feel like some kind of adventurer\explorer when I play these levels. Here are some imo cool ones:

CITY.LEV - a big city with many buildings to visit, people doing everyday activities, etc.
TRICKY3.LEV - a long challenge type lev with some tricks to perform. I even battled it as a FF because it seemed so suitable.
USELESS2.LEV - another fun challenge, a lot shorter than the previous but also a bit harder to survive.

I'm sure Max\magicman\etc can name a lot more. :) I'll post again when I remember something.

zenith.lev (IIRC), which is the world of wonders.

& levs 2 3 and 4 there, in the rewieved levels http://www.moposite.com/downloads_levels.php

edit: and obviously, the paxxlexx elvels (utd caplets, etc.). http://kopasite.net/records/pack/top10
it's a pity best times in some (most?) of these levels are lost, and that they are not played anymore.

paXXleXX best times were copied from Moposite, and almost all of them are beaten on Kopasite.

Btw guys to play the levels mentioned in this thread I recommend downloading them from the links given instead of via Ctrl+F4. For example, downloading STUNT2.LEV directly in the game gives some short lev instead of the epic one that Redline was talking about. It's a typical problem with old levels, especially these with names consisting of just one simple word.
