I think it's because this is the last day of summer.
The game wants us to appreciate it.

would be funny movie "The Day They Couldn't Drive". Plot: A small group of underground gamers have to deal with the time trials of life when their favorite game mysteriously disappears for 24 hours.

The new DB server appearently can't handle it. It seems to work for a bit after restarting, which I've done just now. So EOL is online right now, I have taken the website down just to have a better idea what is causing it when contacting support. Please let me know if it goes down again.

I've contacted support, not much else I can do now, it's still day time in the US, so hopefully they'll be able to do something today. Don't think there's much point to keep restarting it for an hour worth of play.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work people put into making EOL work; especially Kopaka. If hosting is already covered for at least some months into the future, I suggest we have a month where EOL donations are split 50/50 between EOL server and Kopaka as a thanks for all the hard work)

If not Ill go to denmark when I can, and buy you a beer personally)

But I'm afraid of meeting people irl)

But then again kopaka is such a cool and friendly guy so I will probably go sometime anyway)

Oh well)

Much love)

The answer I got from support was pretty incompetent, like they didn't even read what I wrote to them, just telling me to improve my code. But I will keep whining to them untill I get a better answer, since it was working before. For now EOL seems to be running, but I'm keeping the site offline, which seems to break it. Which of course means you could blame the code, but as it was working before I really hope it can again.

As you see the somewhat optimized site didn't work out. The kittens have sent more complains to their overlords.

Have cleaned out all old weird code running in weird corners of the server, now it should be only EOL running. From the looks of it, it's not the actual eol website causing any of it, but other random scripts. Anyway keeping EOL running alone for a bit, just to see if it runs smooth on its own, so would be nice with some updates as to wether it's running fine or lagging the next few hours.
