Over 10 years for me too.
I believe there was only one year that I did not play Elma at least once.
Still waiting for 24-bit graphics.

ROFL I remember when milagros wrote something like "damez bla bla in int 10" in irc and I replied "Who is damez??"

10 years? Bitches please
I haven´t had Elma installed for over ten years or so but u still find it pleasing to sometimes drop in and see new styles still being invented.
However the game seems to have pretty much died, no WR update in soon half a year and no one playing ints anymore.

All I see now when i came to visit are various new odd competitions like WR table with SaveLoad, which is a shame.

I was around even during the across time, and when Elma came it was a big boost. A new updated game with new internals or something is necessary to keep this game alive because as stated earlier, this game is pretty much dead.

No it's not dead at all actually, everyone is just playing battles and cups and contests online since internals are quite boring and impsy to make records for many people.

Elma isn't dead? I've just checked yesterday's battles from 14:00 and 00:00 and the average number of participants was 12, which is like nothing considering there are 7 billion people. When you check F5, you won't see a single person play internals. Cups? There are no cups. Let's face the truth, Elma is dead.

When a big mmo that use to have millions of players gets reduced to ~100k active players its also considered dead as shit. When a book club is reduced from 15 to 3 people its also considered dead. Since like 2004 have elma ever had more than a couple of hundred players active players?

axxually the no wr update is because px is lazy, it would be impossible to gauge internal activity from just looking at the table with such an updater as px.
But yeah it is pretty slow, but we are not wr-less since last update.

Well, no wonder people don't hoyl internal WRs if they have to wait months for them to get updated. Actually, that's the main reason why I don't bother playing internals anymore. Why is px still in charge of this? :? Another reason is that we don't even have one organised and maintained place where everyone's times are. It's all these little things that make this game dead.

Flyrre: bullshit. Its pointless to say what u said when u dont open Elma for 10 years. Lol.

Ok: internal wrs are very hard to beat nowdays but that doesnt mean its dead. Ppl still playing for tt, times, etc.
We have EOL, a lot of battles, cups, GAA, etc.

We don't have many hundreds of active players but the scene is doing veri well! Mans are running new types of contests, developing editors and other tools (check out recsource from last year for example), there's almost always a battle on etc etc etc. Moposite is a bit dead apart from lauta though, and it can be hard to notice scene activity from the surface because everything is dispersed and partly hidden.
then again i don't know anything
maybe easier not to think abouut alöl things thought than not things thought ... or something..=?

I feel like Madness. It could be because I am in a shit time zone. Most of the time when I go on at night there are maybe 1-5 people on. Sometimes I go on and not a single person is online. I would love if elma had a few thousand active players, with multiple servers to battle on, but that is just my personality, I thrive on that energy and constant activity. However, I know other people are against it becoming popular, so at the end of the day it is more important to me that the people remaining today stay happy, even if that means keeping it with a very small number of people online or playing.

I've recently started playing again after a pretty long break (1-2y?) and I was pleased to discover several things:

- battles are on almost all the time when I go online. I remember the quite frequent frustration ("NEW!!!") from back a few years ago.
- there's a great mix of people still playing eol - super old-timers, circa-me guys, and newer players alike.
- there's quite a lot of development in the tools/websites section - RecSource, the multi-people ALE!

I was quite surprised to see these rather recent comments. The scene feels no more dead than it did 5 years ago.

Besides, we're all still here, how can you call this dead? :)

It wouldn't be as 'dead' if had weekly update for eggsample in WR Table just saying 'There's no new WR' or such so you know it's nat dead at least. I would suggest Markku or such man to be new WR updater but I dunno
