Can you say "afterballe" if the battle was a while ago?

Post by kuchitsu »

I've always thought that "afterballe" means hoyling immediately after the battle. To me the afterballe period ends in a few days max I think, maybe even hours. But recently I saw some people uploading recs of 3-4 years old levs and tagging them "afterballe". Is that allowed?

ye afterballe only specifies that the 'original' state of the lev was in balle-form so afterballe can be used even 343 years after balle ended

Can't say that it's not allowed, but I also do agree that afterballe in relatively soon after the balle, preferably during the same day. 3-4 years is just naaaaaa.

I think it makes sense to name anything aferballe even if it is milion years after original battle (just as ofta wrote), just because.

Impsy to draw a line for it anyways.

But not every party after the first party you have ever attended is an afterparty, right? What other words begin with "after"...

We need to set some elma laws. I suggest a maximum of one week being the defining trait of an "afterballe" rec. After that it's just normal hoylage. Afterballe in my view means something short term, so not a perfect 17 years of hoylage wu rec. Technically, yes, everything after the initial balle is "afterballe," but there's no such thing as "preballe," so the term needs to be restricted a little bit, otherwise it just means "almost every non-balle rec," and we already have a definition for balle recs, so there's no need for a universal "afterballe" tag.

TL;DR
I propose "afterballe" be a tag given to recs only within 1 week of the inital battle. Maybe even just a couple of days.

Afterballe does have a tone of happening within a short time after the battle is ended, but it's hard to come up with a strict definition. So I guess everyone can just use it however they want, but I certainly wouldn't call something an afterballe if it happens years after. Or even weeks.

That's like putting aftershave on your face 4 years after you shaved.

I prefer to think of old battle levels as external packish levels instead of just battle levels after a while. It's not like you can play a battle and promise in the last minute "i'll make better after battle, let me just get good first" and beat the time in 5 years calling "i told you i'd get a better afterbattle finish than zweq in the 10 min battle!!11!!".

oke

so my opinion is: afterbattle = preferably immediately after battle, or when you enter elma next time or so.

(afterbattle =/= after battle)

oke2.

for me it means normally few hours to few days max, for example if two people get into beating each others times it can be extended to few days

Hi I'm Bjenn and for me the word "afterbattle" automatically adapt to whatever I might choose using it for.

"Oh hello Mr. Zero, how do you afterbattle today?"
"This fucker has his afterbattle rolling soon.."
"Millions of afterbattle living in distress in today's society."
"My mom has a bigger afterbattle than you!"

No but seriously, afterbattle is afterbattle whether it is 1 day or 1 month after the actual battle took place. Now stop wasting your time in this topic!
