As I discussed with nom I have my own wedding 4.8., so I need FEM to be as early as possible. The first weekend starting from 13.7. is still fine, so I'm in.

So, my brother's wedding is on 14.7, and we would be staying overnight there until 15.7. I would then have to catch flight, leaving the night of the 15th or more likely on 16th, meaning arrival on 17th? And then maybe not enough time left in Finland to justify coming this year. BUTTTTTTT only because of wedding plans on the wrong time

Next year I hear there is onion farm possibilities, and I will 100% make my effort to come full time to the meeting! (even would take time off work) Honestly would be very exciting and would like to make the trip worthwhile. I feel 4 days or so is not enough time to justify the cost of flights, but at least a week would be fine! Now I have year of potential getting hyped + seeing FEM2018 pics too. Perhaps insane guy take some more interviews too? That would be maximum coolness, ofc

I think we all kinda anticipated this, and I think a big part of the reason why it took so long for the decision was the fact that no dates suited everyone... It's a great shame that we won't see you this year, but fingers crossed for next =) It would be absolutely maximum epicness!

Onion farm sounds interesting and I think one day we should try to contact all players, we have their emails from Kuski Gallery, Elmakuskit.html, Mopolauta, EOL etc. I guess there are many cool mans who thinks Elma is good and having some mans time is good in country X (we have lakes ok). Pre parties in Helsinki with some sight-seeings, city sauna (+ beer) and some of the best scandinavian restaurants.

Yeah, Helsinki pre party seems max!

Also, Im free ahead of FEM18 so could easily and very happily leave Sweden earlier to see more of Finland and meet ppl in their natural environment

Cool! I can accommodate 2-4 ppl maybe 2 nights but I prolly want to go to work in day time but it's ok because mans can visit the basic tourist sites which I rather skip. Dunno if other Helsinki city boys [1] want to participate / accommodate.

Idé: documenting some interesting events in more pro way than before.

Now all the videos are pretty much random mongoing which isn't very interesting after the years. While doing the article, I've noticed that there are only a few videos showing anything interesting like TorInge, Zweq and Jalli playing. Well, I haven't checked all milloin FEM14-17 videos so if someone did, please recommend.

I would like to see how Ramone makes a level or Zweq plays SL or Markku dodging, Zero piping and so on. Maybe the first levels of Beer Battle could be included but only the first. And of course some introductory to the cottage. Can be livestreamed too?

If "The Four Pro" competition can be set, that one too. The four players should be selected by some objective measure (or jury = nom) so that we can reproduce it next years. It's always difficult to decide who is the first not in.

Maybe there could be "a video day" when the video is recording all day long so it would become normal and all the interesting events could be recorded during the same day.

Needed: tripod, pro camera, enough memory, volunteer to cut and edit.

Can easily record me making lev. But also, its so dif setting in fem compared to home

(Same for everyone, I know,) and inspiration cant be forced, also since updated SLE its so full of bugs so stopped using. Smibu told can get any old version so updated but unusable. If someone can help me get old versions back at fem ez find some inspiration, Zero can always give idiot impossible idea for lev and get me pumped

Here are some thoughts:

Sounds easy doable, just needs someone who does it. If I can come (still not 100% sure) I can record some of this. I think it definitely needs parallel capturing of the screen, because filming monitors is usually garbage and its much better to just have the clean image. The main camera could then focus more on peoples reaction/pose/bangoing. I have no experience with screen capturing and dunno how much it affects elma, so maybe not everyone (especially in competitions) is cool with the capture thing.
For livestreaming events I think the tripod idea is good enough unless we want to set up a live editing thingy for the live stream. Its not much of a big deal nowadays but orka.
Live commentary would be awesome but we need 2 wireless mics (if two commentarys) because the volume in cabin is usually very high and need clean audio - otherwise ear cancer. If I come I think I can bring that. We prolly need some veezay magic devices to get all sources (2x audio + camera) into one machine that can live stream. But then again I dont know if it's worth to do all the effort for live streaming if only 5 people watch. I'd prefer to record it pro style and edit and put up on youtube etc. (and use in documentary).

We will propably end up just shoving a tripod behind peoples back and live stream with phone and everyone can listen to Ramones commentary anyway

You just got me stoked for FEM again :D

Screen capturing is very ez with nvidia's geforce experience at least, and afaik it doesn't really affect elma. It might marginally (like playing music or youtube videos :D), but probably not that significant =)

Also I don't think twitch streamers had any issues.

I dreamt I was at fem18 and in usual order I didnt plan my trip there, went alone without checking for travelcompanions. Anyway we were standing out in the sun and chatting about who might come. I said I think/hope Bjenn might come. Then Bjenn replied that he was allready there, as he was standing next to me. Was awkward...

So, I need travelcompanion!

Im on sickleave now after operation and wol prob be abit low on budget, so would be very nice to share gas/ferry costs.

I have car and will drive. My car small, fits only one more with full packing, if we are three need to borrow other/bigger car.

I also prebook same bed Ive had in 15 and 17. Its only springless bed I think so I think no one rly wants it. Its the small bed directly to the right in the first bedroom next to kitchen, so probably loud cause wall to wall with kitchen

But feels cozy and at home

Well, depends on travelers... I have small car, but Insguy will not bring too much luggage I assume, then could work great, and if needed I may be able to borrow bigger car (like I did in 2015 and 2017) We will try to arrive as early as possible, thursday always good. But maybe earlier so can go and visit some cool fins maybe, depending on various reasons....
