Hadar is a swedish, idealistic (non-profit-making)
association that spend time, money and commitment on promoting games in
all different forms. Computer games, table games, roll-playing games,
card games - everything! We want to make the world a better place by
giving people the oportunity to put their humor, fantasy and creativity
to use. We live for games, acting, horseplays and fun, fun, fun!

This summer (3-7 juli) we will arrange a big LAN-party in Falkenberg,
Sweden. We will provide an 8mbit internet connection, room for 150-200
gamers, and lots of tournaments, competitions, games (all kind of, both
computer and non-computer). We will make people play and have fun!

However, since we want to make people try something new and fun, we will
try to make our LAN very unusual - with lots of wierd activities -
horseplays, and avoid the established and well known computer games
(Counter Strike, Quake etc). Instead we will go for the small, forgotten
sharewares! We will have tournaments in ElastoMania, Soldat,
IcyTower, PopEm, Operation Spacehog and many more! These are what we
call cheapassgames - don't need to cost a nickle, don't demand much of your
hardware - and most important - they are really fun and addictive! We
will also give away free ice-cream (sponsored), lots of prices (most of
them sponsored) and condoms (!).

Many of our garants are shareware-makers. Therefore we have
licensed versions of all Retro64s creations, and also some Soldat, ElastoMania and many more, to hand out as prices in our competetions.

Im only 16 and its like 300 km to Falkenberg (I dont know exactly)
wonder if Im allowed to go there by myself for 3-4 days...Would be fun but a bit nervous to meet all the other kuskis...

Yay! First post..IÂ´m one of the guys responsible for the tournaments and so on at this LAN. First of all: ItÂ´s really fun to see all these people that wanÂ´t to come!

Second: Red, you should definately talk around in Halmstad and see if anyone else is going that could give you a ride. SpelfÃ¶reningen First might be a good place for one. Bonobo, you could try the same thing, even though it sounds more difficult if you are coming from Uppsala..!

Third: If youÂ´re still hesitating, donÂ´t! The more kuskis the more elma!

There will be lots of Elma! And the more the marrier, so come and help us pave the way for the glorious Elma, on its way to world conquest.

It would be splendid to meet you all there! I hope to see many Kuskis perform at our LAN.

The LAN was arranged. They had some problems like internet connection not working, some people not joined for some reasons but still I think they and we had lots of fun there. It was cool to visit it as a special quest and I want to thank the organizers, especially Ulf.

Maybe Ulf or someone else could write here a tiny summary of the LAN and even some pictures? I wasn't there the whole weekend so I can't.

Humm humm, I will ask him about that as soon as i see him.

And yes, we did have a great time! Especially seeing the players have at eachother with our "boffer"-weapons irl. There were plenty of laughs during the battle, and hopefully there will be some pics up soon.
