can u add two merge.dat files to the elma folder
i have allready got one merge.dat file from when my elma stuffed up and thats all i saved but i have got some better times on my friends computer, is it possible to add both lots of times to my one elma install

once elma is started with merge.dat the state.dat is updated , so all u gotta do is rename your old merge.dat and place the new merge.dat in your elma folder .

ok now i got another pain in the arse problem
but for some reason i dont think i can do anything about it.
i have added the merge.dat file from my friends computer but unfortunatly we have got the same time on one level and he did it ten times like that before i got that time and it only shows his time on the best times list, this sucks cause it adds 10 minutes to my total time.
after reading the readme.txt file i dont think i can do shit about it but hoyl forever to beat that time.
i was just going to add two installs of elma but the thing is that i have got some of my best times on this state.dat file and some on my friends
is there anyway for me to edit this or will i be fucked for life, the dumb part is that he is pissed to cause i got all the top times on spiral and it fucks his total time too.

Martin go to #elma.hu and ask MGen (nowadays called carc), he can
edit the stat 4 you... Just ask if this is life&death matter!

when i changed STATE.DAT and MERGE.DAT and i had same times with two different nicks, the one that was second, was first....

so martin, if you have an old state, just rename state.dat to merge.dat and copy your old state.dat there
you will be the first one:)

(i'm not sure about it - try it)

Merging best times from two games

If you and your friend for example have two copies of the game on
two different computers, you can merge your best times by copying
one state.dat file from one computer to the directory of the game
on the other computer by the name, 'merge.dat'.
Each time the program starts it looks for the file merge.dat and if
it finds one, it merges its best times information into state.dat.
(One best time won't be imported multiple times into state.dat even
if you leave merge.dat in the game directory and start the game
many times.)

You cannot merge a registered state.dat file into the shareware
version.

I find stuff like that makes me play more. I merge with my friend (MopoJames) quite regularly, and he pretty much always has ten better time than mine on some levels. This annoys me loooads!!! It adds tem minutes to my already poor tt for every level...I was left with 1:28 last time! But it made me play more, and get onto the top ten list, also meaning I'd beaten my old score...and made my time better! So I actually end up thanking him

It's good it happens really, I don't play enough any more, I spend all my time on here or updating the NWR table on Mopokuskis!

yeah it made to hoyl too when I didn't have time in top10..so it's kinda true...but then I had lotsa time struggling some boring levs...and recently I got the idea that I want top10 all times on me to the state(to get average total) but that was just too much. Abula had the solution to del the other's times from the state so I got to drive top10's to all levels after all and it was cool.
