Labyrinth Pro
I know you hate when people open topics on every internals...
I am one of those but i really need help on this one level...
Mostly on its famous bounce.... the LabPro bounce
I'd like everyone who succeeded to go through the level with the bounce to post replays, tips or any comments that could possibly help me, or others to make this bounce....
Thanx in advance

here is my rec: http://vk.mine.nu/ratemyrec/35polo.rec
i need maybe like 2 weeks to do this time (2:38,xx) but to finish the level i had need less than 1 week but the time was sucky (2:58,xx)
Like Kopaka said, keep hoylin' the level train and good luck

i've done it in training
go fast down the hill, volt into the "bounce zone" so that your back wheel is compressed, then you just tap the brake and you somehow fly upwards as if by magic
although landing nicely inside the cave part is another matter

wtf i just nailed some totally n00b way of doing bounce. both wheels flat on ground and volt left. omg so easy! you lose a lot of time over actual bounce, but so n00b, sach a better way than going around for teh apple. get front wheel over, then volt bike up. other hard bit \__<requires the same, but is a little harder, depending on your speed. i'll see if i can make a hoyled rec to show.
edit: okaiz made mongo of myself, kinda ignore this post. i just couldn't believe i hadn't heard of the style before.

I am a Flying Spaghetti Monsterian. My God has noodly appendage. The reduction in pirates is the cause of global warming.
having now done the bounce and finished the lev, i'll say you don't have to make it 90% in training lev before u should attempt it. i hardly ever got the apple in training lev, maybe once every 15-20 minutes. what is far more important is knowing how to position yourself for the bounce, like when exactly to volt into the wall, and how much squeeze before you brake. then it's just a matter of time before you get the correct angle. so i thought "if i'm gonna get apple it might as well be in real lev" and then it eventually happened.

YEASH, always been my favourite way of thinkingsierra wrote:"if i'm gonna get apple it might as well be in real lev"
An example: Never did bowling bounce in train lev, took me three weeks on real lev, but when I finally did it ez wr.
4th position in WC4 (DAMN YOU KARLIS!!!!) PWNED KARLIS IN WC5!!!!TT:39:2x:xx (you've got some playing to do Stini ) When it's all over the question is not who was right. The question is who's left.
I strongly disagree with Jalli on this point. Do it in a training level first! I bounced and took the apple at least 50 times in a training level (Lab pro) before I played the real level again.
Jalli was just lucky on Bowling
Sure it worked once, but that doesn't mean it always works (the "induction problem")
I have bounced 8-10 times on bowling in a training level, and in at least half of them i fucked up the ending. Jalli thinks I should just have played the real level, but then I would never have gotten that far (can't do the start yet ), and if I finally did get that far I would probably screw it up because I had never done it before...

heh Phillip getting philosophical, talking about induction. does this mean you don't believe in physics? unusual for a mathematician, but also admirable.
in fact though, i don't think the induction problem applies in the context you suggested. the lab pro bounce in fact does work every time, because it runs on computer logic, which in turn runs on pure mathematics, which is "a priori", or irrefutable knowledge. want proof? make an autoplay program, and input the exact button presses for the bounce on a training lev. as soon as you configured it correctly to do one bounce, it would work 100% of the subsequent runs.

Actuly sierra we have had topics about elma not doing the same stuff everytime, for example try hold gas in serpents from start and see how many different things it does.
No regrets
Are you LOST?
Are you LOST?
Yes, this means no physical law can ever be proven (in a strictly mathematical sense). Even if 1000000 apples fall to the ground in the same manner this does not prove that the next apple will. The laws of gravity and physics are experimental laws, they cannot be proven.sierra wrote:heh Phillip getting philosophical, talking about induction. does this mean you don't believe in physics? unusual for a mathematician, but also admirable.
You don't understand, I was talking about this induction:sierra wrote: in fact though, i don't think the induction problem applies in the context you suggested.
Jalli did wr on first bowling bounce without using training level -> it is always best to not use training level
Actually I'm not a mathematician either, I primarily study physics now. But I'm very interested in mathematics, and I think that in general physisists are too ignorant of mathematical principles.
Getting a bit off topic here...
I use training levels often, but there are of course levels where they are of almost no use.

Different in all levels but i said serpents because there it is major differencesMiEkk wrote:or holding gas from the beginning in enigma, different every time.Juski wrote:Actuly sierra we have had topics about elma not doing the same stuff everytime, for example try hold gas in serpents from start and see how many different things it does.

ah yes that indeed makes sense. but the more times it does work, the higher the probability of it working the next time.Phillip wrote:You don't understand, I was talking about this induction:

How did you extract the internals for editing?

done it a fair few times. can give u a replay on monday (ran outta net access on my comp, buy more monday) almost did bounce just forgot to alo twice, if i had i woulda made it (front wheel), still, the bet is on. i bet my dignity and respectmilagros wrote:i've just read that you broke 65 mins today
do you really think you can do this style?
let's bet, i say no:)

I think psteve means the old route where you cruise for 40 seconds in the bounce apple corner. With that style the pro players can get slightly under 3mins.milagros wrote:you must save the lev after editing under different namePertti wrote:i cant move the start. or i can but it changes back to the beginning.
and psteve - don't foget that hardest thing is to turn on top, not to bounce and i think there are no alovolts (or are there?)
