Alovolt won't bind, no errors in elmaconf.exe

Post by ghen »

I rebound my keys to the numpad and spacebar, then I went into elmaconf.exe and tried to program alovolt to 'z' but it just doesn't bind. No errors, just 'press left' 'press right' 'supervolt' and then I hit 'ok'. In game 'z' does nothing.. even after a normal volt.

elmaconf.exe and the new elma.exe are in the root directory of elma regestered.

Are you sure you have the right version of elmaconf? There is elmaconf.exe for Elma 1.11h and elmaconf12.exe for Elma 1.2
<Fihlvein> another case of zworqy-is-always-right closed i guess
<yoosef> zworqy doesnt suck at anything

I downloaded the 1.11hb patch from this site, it came with the updated elma.exe and the elmaconf.exe along with the readme.

Its not a big deal since I can supervolt normally, just some times I like to have fun and push all the keys :P

edit: I found 1.2 patch on elmasite.com finally.. most of the links in these forums are broke :P I'll try it out.
edit2: the readme in the 1.2 folder is strange to say the least...

do you have a qwertz- or a qwerty-keyboard?
if qwertz the z and y are switched. So if you press z the international game thinks y. Press y.
Otherwise (qwerty) I have no idea

You do of course have to press the keys you assigned as left and right in-game and not the default keys, if that's what you did. If you use numpad you probably havey numpad-4 as left and numpad-6 as right
