Replay naming

I guess I'm not the only one tired of having loads of replays like 2305476 and 34x04524 that you can't see who made it.

I would like to encourage ppl to name the replays they puplish another way. Like 45kopaka or 54Ko3934 or something like that. I can understand ppl want to save old replays, you could when you make a best time save it twice so you both have 34nick.rec and 34n04545.rec and if you make 45.45, then you have all your old replays in 34n04545 format and the best in 34nick format.

Please.

I've named my replays in many ways. Now I'm naming them (internals recs that is): for example: 17B05978.rec

Maybe I should start naming them Boomerxx.rec again.. =)

All my recs are named: (eg. 14Xi1856, 01Xi1433)

Should be good enough

i do "als01" if its my internal PR or if its just a drive that i wanna save i'll name it "01S1425.rec"

battle recs always "levnameS.rec"

and then of course "01FITTA", "01VITTU", "01CUNT", "01FAKYO", "01DEATH", "01MURDER", "01AAAAAA" and so on

..and please don't name battle recs like "a" or "b" or "0" or the like.. For some reason I want to keep all the recs I download in battle, so then I always have to name them otherwise myself to be able to view them. But then again, maybe I'm just the weirdo.

For (my) bad battle win replays you can point your finger to the idiotic battle makers who don't spend the half minute and give the level a name, instead of "Unnamed".

I wish the upcoming version of elma would allow more than 8 letters for replay naming as it's really frustrating to keep up with several recs now.

My internal recs are named usually xxdyyyyy.rec, where xx is level number and yyyyy is time of the replay.

Yea I call them 0.rec, fast to get in the replay section. And my battle replays as 1, fast to find when (if) I upload them. Is there really so many people that keep all battle replays?

oh no i do this also. i even spend hours watching old battle wins when i'm too bored to play... just scroll down looking for recs ending in 'M' or 'ax'

xxJyyyyy.rec for internals but earlier Ive had names like 00xxJohn.rec or simply Serpents.rec, Animal.rec etc but that was long time ago =)

Battlerecs I always name as the name the designer gave lev and then try to fit in as many of the letters in John as possible.. jp212Joh.rec for example.. those one-letter-recnames are quite annoying, and also those winningrecs like sax.rec or similar.. which Luther seems to like doing ;**

I name my internals this way : BoneXX ... don't really care about the time in the name cause you can see it with "Ctrl + Alt + Enter" .

Haha I've always called my personal best internal records - Levelxx
Extremely basic but if I get a really nice time (Sharable quality) I name them xxDynamo

internals always xxveezay.rec, i'm nat trying to act that goodaplayer i should be interested in all my lab pro recs from 2:35.00 to 2:36.00 or anything like that, i'm only interested in teh gooderest onez :)

i save my battle recs always as zvz.rec (don't know why, just became a tradition) but if i har to upload, ez check teh lev name from #battle and rename it like levnamev.rec or levnamvz.rec (if i'm playing afterbalÃ© i might memorize teh levname so i'll just save my new bests straight with teh right name)
