So I had this problem whit elma, when I tried to start elma the screen just went grey, then I got error report to send to microsoft.
Here is how I got that fixed:
1. Download Everest Home Edition.
1.1. In everest, click "MotherBoard", then "Chipset. At the bottom you can see some links to the manufacturers website, and where to download drivers.
1.2 Download the appropriate drivers for you.
2. Install the drivers and restart computer.
3. Enjoy Elma.
Feel free to contribute if I've made any mistakes in my reporte.

well the only necisary part for me when i got that problem was to restart elma, so if you didnt try thaty at first i think you went through way to much trouble then you needed to.
But usually that is the cause of a corrupted state.dat, and that isn't fixed by downloading any drivers.

No regrets

Well, i don't think just restarting elma would fix it since i tried with 3 different version of elma. And i also tried to reinstall windows. And it can't be corrupt state.dat since again, i tried many version of elma. Also shareware i downloaded.
