So, the time has come again for this annual award show to be held; GAA05.

GAA04
GAA03
Original idea

Jury
The jury has been fully assembled, and consists of: Abula, cyre, J-sim, Karlis, SveinR and tijsjoris.

Categories
Some decisions still needed for this to be decided 100%, but expect an update in the not so far-away future.

Voting rules
Have pretty much been decided, instructions coming later.

Date
Sunday 15th January 2006, at 20:00 EET.

Prizes
Should be the same as last year, but will be hard to accomplish without Moposite funds raised by some donations (;))

And BarTek, Jalli and milagros, don't be annoyed. We thought you are either too busy or inactive.

why not. if you are the best battler for instance.. you are! why give award to 2nd best? I don´t get it. If someone is the best at something for 5 years and wins all goldmedals.. he is the best... How the hell could someone come up and say: sorry.. you cant run/jump/play (etc) this year cause you won gold last year... and you will so obviously win so the excitment wont be there so: Sorry... have a great life!

Best is best... and can be year after year!

1) The prizes are no money
2) We would lose much more than get anyway
3) TorInge should be excluded too?
4) Site category will be changed and Moposite won't win most likely, but it's allowed to take part in

- Externalist
- Battler
- Rookie

- WR
- Multi WR
- Style
- Replay

- Level
- Designer
- Contest

- Contribution
- Achievement
- Site

Note: In the Site category, you don't necessarily vote for the site that is the "best site" overall, but rather the site that has improved the most, increased its relevancy the most, etc, over the past year.

Instructions of voting process

First step:
You can reply to this topic and tell your favourite candidates in the different categories. Please list clearly the category and then the suggestion(s). Note: You are not allowed to vote in the third step unless you give any suggestions (one is compulsory but more are recommended) in this step. Arguments are appreciated.

Deadline: 11 November 00:01 EET

Second step:
The jury will choose ten candidates to each category. The jury members will choose the candidates according to their experience and knowledge (they will be also reading the community's suggestions).

Deadline: Will be done as soon as possible.

Third step:
Now we have top10 for each category available. Now again the Elma community can vote. The criterias for being allowed to vote are: Well-known kuski (decided by the jury) and the kuski have posted some suggestions in the first step (so we see that he has been active during the whole process) OR you don't have to be well-known IF you posted a nice suggestion list with reasonable arguments. You don't have to vote in every category but if you do vote in some category you must pick up top5 and not just top1 or top3. So choose top5 or nothing, is the point.

Deadline: December 31st 2005, 23:59 EET

Fourth step:
The jury will collect the top5 for each category according absolutely to the community votes. The point system will be as follows: 5 points to every first position, 4 points to every second position etc.
This will be the top5 to be used in the final show.

Fifth step:
The different jury members will vote over the different categories, and the community will also give 2 points to the candidate who got most votes in the third step, and 1 point to the candidate who got the second-most votes. The different jury members' votes will not be public. In the event of a tie, the candidate who got most points from community in the third step will win. If there still is a tie, the jury will come together and discuss the matter to declare a winner.

The final show is held on IRCnet, channel #gaa.

Date and time: Sunday 15th January, 20:00 EET

Why the hell is everybody voting Tm for rookie award? 8O
There are better rookies, but only Tm writes every new time on lauta, but the times are not so good as for example Prodigy's or Legioner's (Legioner has 39:26 tt and at least 5 times in world top ten, Tm has no time there).
Writing every new time on lauta isn't enough for winning GAA I think..

Tm has improved very fast, for me it's not an option to not vote for him as "the rookie". I haven't really heard of Legioner... Prodigy has some sick times, but who is he? How long have they been playing? Anyway... I vote for Tm.

took a look at Legioner and Prodigy's profile in the kuski gallery and they started playing in the middle of 2003 so they cant be nominate for the best rookie award anymore (?)

Team
-MAN: active team, and the members are quite tied up together (wonder why). taking part in many external contests and battles
-AC: actually I don't know much more about this team besides that axxu and red is there ..but I guess it's enough edit add: fluff is there too :*
-ICE: best team in wcup
-FM: jokke gone but tisk is back!

Internalist
-TorInge: no need to explain
-Karlis: still continuing taking WRs, all time most consistent internalist
-John: still höyling
-Luther: top kuski with great skill

Externalist
-axxu: gave a good challenge in wcup ;) excellent alp comeback! active in many contests
-The OooO: one of the best externalists for sure. won one wcup event
-Luther: proved his skills in wcup
-Munkki: wc5 top10 + other external activity
-Red: same as above, lately done sick records in Kin Kon Tests (mopocorner)
-Boneless: active as always, specialty is pipes

Battler
-axxu: rules mopobattles

Rookie
I'll skip this one, I don't enough knowledge because haven't followed that much ...at least total list has damn many new names ;o

WR
another hard one but..
-Headbanger: I've seen the rec and at least it was damn smooth ;I
-Warm up: Karlis did the impossible

Multi WR
33. Zig-Zag 32.77 Zweq & mr: unusal pair makes it cooler

Style
-dz's wcup 511: :*
-my wcup 509 start: have to get something back because dame axxu took the win ;Z
edit add: -munkki's wc506 middle

Replay
-wc504 by luther: quite overwhelming

Level
-wcup 513 rollercoaster by px: 100% px

Designer
-ramone: too bad no new contests, but I've seen many of his new levs and those are nice
-zebra: still making quality levels
-Ville_J: good playability with excellent design is the key

Contest
-Wcup5: of course
-Master Cup: biggest non-moposite cup this year
-Mopoking: something new
...can kon quest still make it? ;I

Contribution
-zebra: mopobattles begun again, now it's just up to abula to get them back to moposite
-px: still had energy to arrange wcup
-Abula: arranging gaa and gaa prizes, making paprika updating records etc.
-tijsjoris: even though I don't follow elma scene that much anymore I see him everywhere. really nice to have this active non-scandinavians! The scene needs people like him, and I mean other than active bangoing around

Achievement
-tor: new 24h tt record in fem and wr during that time
and then some wcup stuff..

Site
improved eh, moposite has stayed about the same. I pick none yet

Team

TAP: Makes great levs to battles & cups & levpacks
TLR: Battlers all the way. Good team spirit
Lame: Seems to have good spirit as well

Externalist:

Crazy: Should have won last year, impressive hoyla mission tiems.

Battler:

The OooO, jaytea, zaraptor, Targenor, zrex: all great bullers
markku, jeppe, axxu, john etc are old farts already, I'd prefer someone fresh.

Style:

MAN middle style in WC506, originally invented by Munkki
MP start in WC509
Replay:

WC winning recs are very nice all but I'd say
WC515 replay by Jalli

Level:

WC506 by Chazz, having a style which is very hard to invent is a sign of an extremely good lev.

Designer:

Rasken, 8-ball, Chazz, iob for battle levs

Site:

Mopo Corner by MP & Ville_J, long lasting and still going strong.

Achievement:

MP's hat trick

By the way, nominations should be from the time period November 2004->now.

For multi WRs you can check them at this site http://www.home.no/sveinrune/multiwr/oldtables.html from table #120.

Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

- Internalist - t0r why not?
- Battler - Markku, another obvious choice

- WR - t0r's unbelivable AH WR, everyone said it was unbeatable without new style! -- zweq's AH wr, has there ever been such a unclean WR?
- Style - zweq's/axxu's(?) ah style
- Replay - luther's 504 replay

levelmaker - tijsjoris, danielj
- Level - mking011 by undiente
- Contest - MopoKing

- Site - mopo corner
