To host on OLX you need to forward the port 23400, just like you have to forward ports to see others and be seen in belma:)

If anyone wanna play their game and lacks host, I'll easily host for you if I'm available:)

Just add me on msn; tom_nor_3@hotmail.com

(I'm available most of the time unless i sleep or is at work;D

(at work atm, back home at around 16:00 CET)

That'll be max I guess. Too bad I can't play it really well with my SAX laptop, sometimes I get lag spikes which cause the keys to get stuck and me to crash to the wall.

Anyone under 22 secs?

Okay, we finally played. We played only for one victory though because Pawq had to leave. I won that match 11-4 (you know that you must kill 11 times instead of 10 to win because you are still alive at 0 lives)

Sorry that we didn't play earlier. We weren't often online at the same time.

I suggest the next round to be some single-player game (some trackset in aapeli minigolf) so being online at the same time wouldn't be a problem and we would get the round played much more quickly!

Why not TMU (or maybe TMN if you guys are nabs), someone posts a track, we got one week, we submit replays, best wins. A bit like balles, but TrackMania balles. It would sure get me playing some again, it's been one heck of a long time.

Re: Mopolauta game tournaments

I suggest TrackMania (probably Nations since it's free) or Age of Empires (II please :))

Maybe we could even make a "non-elma" cup, made in the exact same way as a normal cup in elma, but with a speedrunnable game or something. For example: Super Mario 64, GoldenEye 007, Mario Kart 64, DD, DS, Wii, Mario Galaxy or Sunshine (though Galaxy is not easily speedrunnable, and Sunshine, I played a bit 2-3 years ago so I don'T know), and probably some speedrunnable FPS I don't really know (Half Life? Resident Evil?). I only suggested nintendo games, but I guess there are a lot more (Crash Bandicoot, etc.) that have plenty of challenges possible.

Anyway, it could be like, let's say we are playing Super Mario 64, first event'd be "fastest 80 coins in Whomp's Fortress", then you post a vid on youtube within one or two weeks, dunno, and winner gets claps claps and a big hug. Let's say we play Goldeneye, we could have simply "fastest finish in Bunker 2, 00 agent" or maybe original ones like "most headshots in Facility Agent, you have to finish under 2:00" or things like that. Maybe I'm just getting very far and you're like "well, go suggest that in a SM64 or GE007 forum and shut up", but I think it'd be fun.

So all I need is some warmup, and then I'll battle you.

How about a Quake Live duel tournament sometime now? A bit of an interest in the game had sparked in IRC...
Would be max if we could have a bracket of 8 people and do best out of 3s.

I really should pop in that Chessmaster 10th someday and learn basics straight from the academy.

I played much 10 years ago, but in retrospective I feel I had never been trained in the right manner. Had I sticked with it, I would have much more reference points than I currently have. Interesting thing is that chess players are not necessarily of higher general intelligence than the norm, and that IQ does not seem a factor much at play. However, other personality traits, such as consistence, seem to be relevant in painting the picture. Over time, furthermore, masters acquire hundreds of thousands reference points in term of piece positions, so there is often some degree of familiarness -- they are in "known land," if it might be put that way. For others (such as me), once a few moves have been performed, they are out in the bush.
