Skateboard topic !

Post by The_BoneLESS »

Hey hey, i was just wondering who in all of you are skateboarders... Post here if you are and tell a little about your skate carreer, and if you have good sites, post them

BoneLESS: I'm a skateboarder since two years, my friend teached me how to ollie and it took me about a year to ollie normally. Now i can land some smooth kickflips, varial kickflips, 50-50, 5-0, noseslides, salad grinds, sometimes some crooked grinds... Sadly, as i live in C.A.N.A.D.A., i can only skate for about 4 month ( when there's no STUPID snow ). Here's a cool site, with nice videos and tricktips ! : http://www.bobstricktips.com/

I used to skate... was a few years now though :P
One of the worst thing I ever did was to stop, I never had as much fun. Last summer I was out 3 times :/
That´s far to little, I planned to be out all the time. Guess I´m too lazy now, also lost the control of all tricks, and I´m heavier now so I cant do maxxed ollies. Well well.
I skated for many years... bah

For sure i can, i can put many variations: Boneless with a kinda kickflip with the hand, boneless to some grinds and boneless 180 and maybe 360...and some freestyle with the hand which could look like bonelesses ! I love BoneLESS ( not me, the trick  )

i skated for about 4yrs and fully stopped about a year ago. its great fun, but when you have to constantly buy new shoes and decks, you start to think "what for?". Also got angry when couldn't pull a move off when i had been trying all day, like when i was trying to 360 flip 8 stairs.

i was never into grinds or ramps at all, mainly because they fuck you up if you dont pull it off. i was more into street skating, just cruising along streets pulling off moves on my way... nothing feels better than doing a trick, such as a heelfip, onto a box and land to a manual which continues for a good 10m.

good old days..

..nice to see that there are so many skateboarders in to elma!

I skated actively for like 7 years... (15-22).. skated almost everyday for several hours... we had so much fun!!! ..then I moved and didnt meet my old skatefriends that much so it hasnt ben to many days on the board since then.. but actually I drove past a skatepark in the autum of 2004 and for some reason I happend to have my skateboard in the car so I stoped and skated for a while... it was lik 22.00 so I was completely alone in the park... damn it felt so great!! ..and some of the tricks was still there.. the feeling!

Wish more of those "happen to drive by a skatepark with the board in the trunk"-days would come.. until then I still have my days on the snowboard!!

:) well, never broken anything.. the worst thing I guess would be when I couldnt skate for 5 months because my "hälsena" (damn medical terms in english) almost broke... and then I also "stukade" my foot realy bad one time... my whole leg up to the knee was blue!!

biggest achivements in skateboarding must have been, skating naked on the swedish tvstation ZTV!! 8O ..and we also won a trip to France for best homevideo another year!!

maybe when i open my balls 8O ... tried a kickflip down some stairs but, unluckily, the board missflip, fell on the ground like this --> | except of this __ so, i fell the balls right on it...

I had a centimeter opening in the skin around the balls.... must be the most frightening moment of my life, ... but they are ok now ! :D

I used to skate about 3-4 years ago, but I could do(when I did skate)..

ollie down parliment 10 stair (some skaters in melbourne would know this :) ), kickflip, heelflip down 6 stairs, did an ollie off a bus shelter, 360 flip, 180 heelflip(also 50-50 to 180 heelflip out). 50-50, 5-0, nose grind, smith grind, 180 flip, boardslide, noseslide, tailslide(took me ages to figure out :) ) and many more I've forgotten.

and my old school set-up:
Dave Mayhew A-Team(best board ever)
thunder trucks
50mm spitfire wheels
abec 5 ninja bearings
and the usual bikini chick grip tape :P

The gap may be a little smaller but still, he makes some huge spins and grabs. You really should check out...

I skated for 2-3 years... but haven't skateboarded for 2 years now...
Mostly i liked those Freestyle tricks... If u've seen Rodney Mullen, then u'll know what i mean. Primoslide, flip the board and land on Primoslide again.
And ofcourse inventing my own tricks. Made some... the hardest was like this "Put one foot a bit under or beside the board and do a (540-Flip with 180* body spin). Once landed sloppy :? The trick was coming, but i stopped skateboarding before i really had it in me.
Also "manual" (skate with 2 wheels) is very fun.. especially One-Foot-Manual. My record for One-Foot-Manual, standing still, is around 2 minutes.
Then there are all these regular tricks.. only once managed to do a 360-Flip, yay hehe.
My nice short version of my skater carreer :)

In around 2 months, skateboarding will disappear under the snow for 6 months...

I have to go land those tricks before the end of summer :

- nose slide shove-it out
- kickflip to 50-50
- smooth salad grind
- smooth heelflips

Skateboard update :

I've made several nose slides shove-it out. Made once the kickflip 50-50, some hardcore shit it was! Salad grind, i plan on landing it in 2 days and the heelflips, i still don't get them. My front foot is always in the way of the skate while it flips...

I moved so, i had to find another skatepark. I found a cool park where there's a box, a funbox, two quarted pipes, a 45°, a mini halfpipe and a rail. Very nice for rollerbladers and skateboarders. ( I've seen no BMX yet :) :D ).

My friend is improving as hell. He lands nose manuals shove-it out, feeble grinds, crooked grinds, 360 flips, bigspins, perfect kickflips and heelflips. He's the shiat !

That's it for now, i'll write back when i land that salad grind!

peace out for all extreme dudes!
