Value of Replays

Post by Ramone »

Why cant ppl get themselfs to delete all replays?

Why?

Are they of any real value... and even if you delete them you know how you drove.

Maybe I should delete mine...

i might cut down to just my own recs, mopo recs and wr recs

i mean i have so many pointless ones, like about twenty different Steppes recs from when i was trying to do the shortcut

10fack.rec, 10noo.rec, 10cunts.rec, 10NOOOO.rec, 10soclose.rec etc etc

and of course now that i made it, those recs are so dumb to look at

Why teh hell should we delete our replays ?

Most are good to have, and too much work to find the useless ones, and it's not like a replay takes up that much disc space.

I guess I change my mind. Why should replay be less worth cause they are free? Does only things that cost have value? Thinging about it just feel stupid to say that, what we like, we value. Not just expensive TV´s and Alcohol. Also, I feel I maybe made something abit too hasty, some recs could be good to have still haha...

But, since I accually deleted them, but did not trow out my TV, which I wanted many times... does that mean recs are less worth for me? Or just that I´m a cheap bastard? (I dont think ppl find me a cheap bastard).... fuck!

I dont know what....

Maybe its your way of easing yourself into quitting...get rid of elma one bit at a time...
Hope not though

Next step is deleting all levels, then state.dat, and finally .res file.

Just backup everything on some cd for example and after that delete whatever you want. If you really really feel like getting some replay back someday, you can check that cd.

ramone is strange sometimes indeed. What the problem with recs? Just move them to somewhere else and rec folder is clean again. No need to lose the recs. Or maybe the issue was about something deeper, I don't know.

So fun when people delete their Elmas ("I won't play that shit ever again!") and after some months they are messaging me ("Abula please, you have my state.dat please send me...").

I save replays of my internal top10 times. And lots of FUCK, ShiT.. recs. I don't even remember when I last time deleted them. Replays doesn't take disk space so much so it's not problem.

That top10 saving is maybe for confirming top10 times as long as replays can confirm anything. Imo they should be saved automatically to some own Top10rec -folder.

imo replays are of the highest value. apart from times, replays are the only thing that makes me whane play. to create a nice replay, that people will admire, well, what more do you whane do in Elma? i tell you, i'd rather have my shitty TT with all my own replays than have 39 mins without anything to watch.

You like to watch your own replays? :D

But yes. What possible reason is there for not keeping recs? It's not leik they're 100MB each :o
