Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
After a break on 2 years or so I had some time to kill so I made a new JoPi ;o Best time so far is 40.49 (it was battled 30 minutes ago).
http://up.k10x.net/dnshzobcudkbj/JoPi40.lev
I'll make a table in the first post in this thread, a lot easier and more accessible than the JoPi-site. Don't really want this pack to be forgotten, there's still quite a few seconds to save :p

You never know...Pawq wrote:heh, nice to see JoPi pack being continued : D interesting level too... are we to expect many more JoPis from you John? :)
At the moment my motivation is high but my inspiration is low.
Records were updated with 3 new times from FinMan.
Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
would be nice to see the improvements, like old and new time and by who
Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
Mawane: please read the first post. But agree with that, could be nice to see how much did players improve etc.
Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
Hey! I'm doing manual updates here ;(
JoPi41 was battled for 20 minutes just recently. Winner was Markku and his time goes to table.
+ I will add the level to the zip.
edit: JoPi42 was battled too. I was asked after JoPi41 to make a tight pipe and I made one ¨=) It's not enjoyable but might very well be the most difficult JoPi to date. Even so, adi managed to finish it after the battle had ended.

Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
I was thinking of introducing grades and achievements to the pack.
Grades will depend on how many records you have while achievements can be for a wide variety of stuff, both especially good times as well as fun stuff.
(Background would/will be fixed) This is the insignia for a Major and should be quite hard to get for exemple. Maybe some 15 records or something needed.
Achievements could be stuff like "Finished JoPi42", "Got 5 new times for one single update", "Got a best time ending with 3 zeros" and such.
Could be fun I think o/

Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
Would definitly be nice and would definitly make me play those levels again! (though simply battling jopi41 made me want to play the jopi pack again )

Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
Ok I have fixed insignias for 8 different grades, now I need some help on how to put the limits for each of them.
Grades are in order from highest to lowest:
General
Colonel
Major
Captain
Lieutenant
Sergeant
Corporal
Private
Maybe you become a Private once you have finished x number of JoPis? No records required there
Corporal having 1 record on table?
...
General having 90% of all records?
Still I'm not sure if I should put these grades and stuff. I'm just doing manual updates after all. Personally I like this type of rewards for what you achieve in-game, whether it's Elma or Rock Band or anything. Whane hear your opinions now <3

Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
yeah, cool idea, much work at the begining but it will decrease with time, so let's go for it
you should do it like all sundays at teh end of the day

Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
sounds nice, and definitely some ranks should be available without any records, because its gonna be really hard to kick those few guys' asses like adi's one xD
and the JoPi42... heh, whane rec from adi xD

Yes, would be very nice if there was a section called "Recordhistory", which there certainly is not at the moment. fucktard.

Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
Grades added in my first post o/
It looks a bit messy, maybe I can change the layout of that table later. Now plz help me fill it in by submitting your recs, levs and stats. (Only recs and stats needed really)
The criterias are only in beta-phase, they might be changed later.

Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
Updated first post with 10 new times from adi. He has now achieved the criterias for General ;o
I realised now how damn flawed my grades are tho. If adi hoyls some more we will have an army consisting of one General and a bunch of Privates, Corporals and Sergeants at best. Any suggestions how to make grades more balanced?

Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
Instead of having to have a certain amount of records you could put some base times.
Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
Ye, I guess that could work. Or maybe I should simply put limits for how many JoPis you have to finish for each grade?
Like "General - ALL" , "Private - 5"... No one would submit for Private though.

Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
yes john made nice banner, which is about the only nice thing about the layout :P
any suggestions about anything? one really cool thing i would have wanted to have was somekind of mass upload, but no idea how to do that. i guess it's just total times lacking now and some more stats could be nice, although it's not so popular pack. looks like the very old wrs have to be added manually. gotta see

JoPi44
Newest JoPi was battled today but because I needed ALE to put a "-" in levelname ALE removed all pictures, smth I noticed in the middle of battle. Grassbugs now fixed, so overwite the battlelevel with the level above.

Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
john, finished ten levels, should i submit them to your website, even though its not up to date?
God Bless America
Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
The site is still alive and kicking, its just that the site used now is not the same as the first one I had... The site you whane add your times to is the one at top of my first post in this thread. It's written in huge letters, u cant miss it.gimp wrote:john, finished ten levels, should i submit them to your website, even though its not up to date?
Re: JoPi - A Pipepack from John
