First and foremost, I'm not sure if this is the correct subsection to post this so I'm sorry if it isn't.
I've been trying to get a GamePad working with ElastoMania for a while now and finally figured out how to do it. It's just a matter of using a small tool called JoyToKey which maps joystick button presses to keyboard key presses to make any application believe it's actually a keyboard there.
I've put together a lame excuse of a tutorial on how to use this (even though the program is quite simple), which also includes a link to download JoyToKey - which is freeware by the way.
Here's the link: http://pwp.netcabo.pt/damrho/elmapad/
Hope somebody finds this useful.

of course it is possible, use the inside from a joystick at home, make your own shell and put only the buttons you want, on the exact places you want them. it will act cp sometimes maybe, because you dont have all buttons left.
No regrets
