I have a feeling this cup wont have many events. Just because you wont have many competitors because of your utter noobness and lack of organising.

Well, time will show.

I understand that you cannot trust someone with only 2 posts, starting a competition. In fact, I think I'd better introduce myself. YuS is a team, existing since 2001 in the offline world, specializing in creating levels and orgzinising offline competition in our city (Moscow) once in a while. As those were a success, we decided to try to run a competition online, to let players from all over the world participate in it. So you can feel sure that we can handle this competition as well.

Hope you enjoy taking part in the Cup,

YuS

penalties should be given by addint +extra time, not by some points. it's just too harsh to be in second place when your time is -4secs better then a player from a second place.
overall these levels are so nubish for a cup and the rules blows as well, dont think i'll ever try any of events.

Hope other players won't copy your style though, as there are lots of other routes you can take to complete this level and it's difficult to say which ones are faster

Ok?
For future, I think you shouldn't be asking us anything or postponing any deadlines.. it's confusing.

If I now say 'no', when will the deadline be then?

Here are the results of the fourth event!

I'm sorry for not posting the results/news before today, I was experiencing some serious technical difficulties and thus didn't have any access to the internet.

Anyway, here come the long-awaited results:

The best time was achieved by BoneLESS this time - 01:16:29.

Luckily, none of the participants were late this time (well except me of course):

Code: Select all

BoneLESS [HHIT] - 01:16:29 - 100 points - 379 points total
jazka_87 - 01:17:16 - 99 points - 99 points total
ScHuMaChEr [AET] - 01:21:03 - 94 points - 366 points total
TonyLee [FS] - 01:23:16 - 92 points - 168 points total
RiNSpy - 02:06:61 - 60 points - 250 points total
Ba-ntoN.ec - 02:10:23 - 59 points - 252 points total

You can download the rec of the best time by clicking on the link above.

----------------------------------------------------------

Also, now you can download the level for the fifth and the last event:
http://yus.by.ru/YuS05.lev

But that's not all yet!

Two of the championship levels have secret areas hidden in them... And if you find them, you get a chance to get 40 points for one of them and 100 for the other!

Here are the rules:
1). You should send in the replay of you getting to the secret area
2). The time that will be used to calculate your score is the amount of time that it takes you to get to a complete stop with the "Secret Area" sign between the wheels of the bike from the beginning of the level
3). As always, the person who gets the best time gets the max score, the others get their points according to the ratio of their time compared to the best one
4). The replays should be sent in before the end of the chamionship.
5). One of the secret areas costs 40 points and the other costs 100 points.

The deadline for this event and for the additional "Secret Area" event is 9th August 2006 23:59:59 GMT

Good luck!

Just wanted to remind you that there are only 6 days left till the deadline, so I would recommend you to send in your recs now in case you've got any to avoid being late. You can always send in your newer, better recs later too if you manage to make any.

Cheers.

Wow. It's really flattering to come here for the first time since August and see a message like that. Unfortunately, I don't think YuS cup will be revived any time soon - as we (RiNSpy & Ba-ntoN.ec) (yes, we did try to take part in our cup too, just for fun) don't really have enough time for it due to the uni studies. In fact, we haven't played Elma at all since August (which maybe is a good thing actually, as Elasto Mania is very addictive!).

Sorry about that.

Cheers,

the YuS team.
