Style-Wiki?
Just an idea..
What do you think of an internal style-wiki where kuskies (hopefully pros) explain the pro styles for each level (maybe also lamer styles).
Maybe it works also with external levs.

Seems good to me, could work with larger external packs too.

A cool idea, but experience tells me it is rather too ambitious for a scene such as this. Even if it was very well constructed, the real authorities (i.e. the elite internalists) simply wouldn't put much time into it, and consequently it would get flooded with mediocre styles, poorly explained by mediocre players.
But shucks, I'd like to be proved wrong on that.

you can maybe write the levels where you either have the wr and/or some very najs style. maybe someone else could explain like warm up and flat track and those levels which can be explained by almost everyone.John wrote:i like to help if ppl ask me but i duno if i orka write some general stylefaqs on a wiki

prolly only what you should think and concider while pulling off some style. like "dont forget to gas there before alo, then brake and quickly turn when front wheel hits the ground blabla."

ye, no need for you to isolate yourself. i think it'd be even better if you had someone to respond to what you write, so they can give you follow-up questions, so that you dont miss anything. leik
"then you do teh brutal there and go <-"
"are you supposed to turn and gas there or not?"
"ye, you gas then turn after brutal blabla"
then maybe if you pros orka, you could recs on some trainlevs for the major styles for merging. like maybe a trainlev-rec for lets say quick round for merging, along with a small text about the bounce and bounce-brutal. that could help alot of people. <3

My thought was that a wiki is maybe better than 100 of kuskis asking the same question to you again and again and it would be a nice gift for the posterity ^^
And nonpros could explain noobstyles which would be a big help for noobs imo.
But maybe you are right and such a wiki would be dead after a few weeks :\

The only realistic way you'll ever get this project anywhere is, in my opinion, by holding some kind of IRC-based interview/discussion. For example:
<Abula> Welcome guys, gosh darn it's good to be here with Zweq, John, axxu and Lukazz. Now, Zweq, let's start with Lab Pro, what really is the secret to the bounce?
<zamppe> Hey gang! Well Lassi, I've always believed that to really get the most bang for your bounce you've got to brake late - really let that back wheel compress and just dare yourself to wait as long as you can until you tap that brake button. Do this correctly, and you just can't fail to nail the shortcut.
<Lukazz> Totally.
Et cetera. Pros aren't going to bother signing on to some foreign website just to write something they already don't want to do, but if you take the questions to them in IRC then there's at least a chance they'll look away from #ranks long enough to give you at least a brief answer.
