what do you consider as anonymity? the only thing people know about you is a few letters that recognise you in a certain environment, I don't think you become unanonymous when people get to know your nick

That is actually a quite interesting topic to discuss. Don't know about you, but I have shared quite much info about myself in this community with my nick so no way I would consider being anonymous in here nor would I ever use this same nick to post somewhere else as "anonymous". You can easily find out my true identity and such. So, anonymity to me means using some random nick (can use same many times, doesn't matter as long as it cannot be traced to the few of my "actual" nicks) or then no nick at all. Of course, there are ip-loggers everywhere so it's never that anonymous but it doesn't show to other people so doesn't matter.

I think that the Elma scene is an exception for most of the guys. I, as many others, have shared most of my main personal details in moposite, but that is literally the only place in the internet (apart from serious and definitely non-anonymous places, like facebook, uni sites, internet shops etc) that my name is in. So I consider myself anonymous everywhere else. But actually what does my name tell about me? Same about the birthday and some photos? There are probably a zillion people in the world looking like me and born in the same day. That's why I think that besides those people that know me in real life, I still remain kind of anonymous here. Of course CIA could track me from these data, but let's stay with other fellow elmans :)

I really hate the anonymity on the internet because it makes you doubt everything. So much random fake crap has been posted by anonymous users so whenever you see something special/weird/extraordinary ect. on the internet you imediately think that it might be fake. And that ruins the entire integrity of the internet. (just like sl spread ruining integrity of elma times HEHE )
