Elma Grand Prix 6 - Coming this FEM!

The long overdue EGP6 is finally on the horizon. My plan is to host it during FEM18. Traditionally, EGP's have been held Sunday evenings, but due to many other contests and the futbol world cup final I feel the weekend is a bit too busy, and with no clear FEM schedule it's very hard to know when the...

Does music theory actually give any understand about how/why music works? Yes, very. Music is subjective of course, and nobody knows quite WHY we like it so much, but that's why it's such an interesting topic. However, HOW it works is extremely well known. Over centuries of musical evolution, there...

I've done it twice. Me. Hoyled for about a day I'd say. If I can then anyone can, and if that is not motivation enough then I don't know what is.

I found the most important part is landing correctly on the triangle, so you don't headbang but also get enough speed to get back.

I just don't see why people have to shroud things in mystery and magic in order to enjoy it. Music is quite a lot less literal than movies and books, which in some ways is more forgiving (a melody, unlike a character, doesn't need agency). However, it is also much harder to get an intricate insight into the finer details of music, which is why I think a lot of people apply some sort of myst...
