Hmm, it occurred to me that maybe I can just drop okesl into elma folder and it will read from lev and rec there. (edit: this worked just fine and makes it 100x easier to saveload new levels). Maybe this is what everyone was alrdy doing.

If you make a new version maybe add option to load level via full path, so you can load directly from eol folder. Or option to specify alternate level folders to search.

edit: maybe option to save recs to elma folder also.

It's like normal battle. Get the fastest time to win. When multiple players start the level at the same time there is a moment of overlap where collision does not work until the overlap breaks. or even better just let collision happen immediately. this would be insane chaos. everyone upon starting ...

another issue: When binding a key to fast forward while held down, I also bind it to set speed back to 1 on key up. How would you approach that with a neural network sort of thing. I don't know enough about them unfortunately but it's been something I have slowly been trying to learn about. There is at least lots of training data available.

Also, I think that if it doesn't require too much time commitment it could really bring some older players back. Like if it was just 1-2 hours twice a week. Or maybe could split the league into different parts so people could join just some events and not get too penalized.

I wanted to give my 2 cents. First of all, okeol is an amazing client compared to EOL, there's no doubt about that. But the approaches to making these work were completely different. Basically, EOL is a giant hack into the original elasto mania game code without having any of the source code itself....

I think battle rating has a lot to do with context as well... when you queued, how many ppl online, or levs in the queue, etc. awsj gave me a !lev 5, I wasn't offended. Voluntary escape battle
If you die normally you're out but if you hit escape you're not. Train players on a very useful skill for hoyling.
