I assume the real death rate is around 3%. In korea they tested hundreds of thousands people and tracked everyone, who has to virus to get the possible new candidates, who were then tested. You can assume the real number of cases is very close to the official. Current death rate is around 1.5%, but ...

nowadays the number of people in Lombardy that die a day because of coronavirus (i think it was 313 yesterday) is higher than the normal number of deaths per day (around 280) for any other reason add to the problem that 20% of ppl need treatment and hospitals are full anyway, I'm quite sure european...

I think a couple of thousands will die but hundreds of millions will suffer from stress caused by the panic, and the total human lifespan reduced by that stress will be much higher compared to the deaths.
